Hi All, I have requirement to schedule the report to run every morning 4:30 and it has to check for the Status of the file. If file is not created it has to check 5 times giveing interval as 30 mins and it has to give mail saying the report has not been refreshed. I have Idea that we have to use Events.So please any one give detail example how we can accoplish it. Thanks. K.Krishna

Hi, i am using BOE XI 3.1 We try to schedule one report and ftp to one server. The job is failed with the error of login error. [WSA10060]: [CrystalEnterprise.Ftp].I am sure i have key in the correct information (user login and password). Few days ago I have try one time to ftp to this server and is work..now cannot already. What weird is, I can use command prompt in BO server try to ftp the destination server, and is connected by the same...

The user ID that you need is not a BusinessObjects ID, but a network ID. I usually have a user created that is designated as a "services" account where the password never expires. Then I set ALL of the BusinessObjects servers to use that ID. I just tried to set the access to a folder on my machine for LocalSystem and it doesn't look like Windows will let you do that. So, you can ignore that part of my response. -Dell

Hi, Can we scheduled a report with excel format and mail which goes to the user must be able to open with Password. Means I want a mail which is password protected attachment. Is this possible.? I tried searching, but unable to find any option..I am scheduling this from BOXI 3.0 cmc which has a zip format. Would appreciate if i get some quick response..as this is asked by client on priority. thanks.

Deski Report from infoview issue

Hi All, i Have one smll issue scheduling a Deski report from Infoview it takes an extract file located on a shared drive as source. Currently, the report can be run ondemand from full client but not from Infoview due to drive accessibility to BO Server. could please tell me the solution. cheers nsai

Login to CMC and navigate to servers and open properties for AdaptiveJobServer running Webi. On destination category select File System and click Add.

You cannot expose this option within InfoView. Email notification is considered and administrative function so it is only available in the CMC. If CMC access if off limits for your users, I'm afraid there is no other solution unless you choose to create your own scheduling page/app.

However, as there are 50 different users who needs this reports to be sent, we have created multiple recurring instances with different prompt value for this and it's very difficult to maintain/monitor this report.

We spent a lot of time with support on a Webex about this. What we have found is that if you select both Acrobat and WebIntelligence as Formats then all reports are refreshed. If you select any format other than WebIntelligence not all reports are refreshed. Including WebIntelligence as a Format is not an option for us because the email gets 2 attachments, a pdf document and a WebI document....
