If you stopped when you got to the end of Rt. 66, you have missed more than half of the trip. The trip past Rt. 66, IMHO, was the most interesting part of the trip. So…. Go back and resume where you may have left off (I was able to get it to show a few more post before it stops). When it stops, make sure to select the...

Awesome ride. I'm jealous. I usually try to get out there once a year. Unfortunately when I was there in July it poured the whole day.

The Mt. Pisgah Campground on the BRP is a good camping spot. The hike up to the top of Mt. Pisgah is short and affords a tremendous view, as does the nearby fire tower just to the south. Hwy. 276 North leads down to the motorcycle camp in Cruso, about 6 miles. For a great little loop ride, travel across the BRP past Graveyard Fields, Black Balsam (head out this short road for the scenery and a hike) and Devil's Courthouse, go down hwy....

Kept my interest and it gave the feeling from your narrative and clips of what it was like and the music is great. One of the better documentaries I've seen about an alaskan run.

Friday night had us checking out the bikes and talking dual sport. Shortly after sunset we grabbed some beer and went downtown to the bandshell to listen to some classic 70 and 80's music. We were starving, so the choice was a Wisconsin tavern Fish Fry or 2 buck brat and burgers. We passed on the fish fry and had Wabeno Fireman's burgers. The following photos were taken Saturday ...

I recently completed a 5,000 mile trip from Central Texas to LA via Rt. 66 and several other interesting places on the way back. Last year I had done the eastern side of Rt. 66 from Illinois thru Oklahoma on a Harley Road King. One of the purposes of this trip was to finish that route. This year the trip was done on a BMW R1200GS that has off-pavement capabilities (probably more ...

I've been toying with the idea of going to Alaska as far as Fairbanks and the Kenau Penn. before riding back down to Redmond for the Rally. Still playing with the plans, but hotels in Alaska makes the most sense to me too.
