When you open you fuel gas cap, do you hear a wooshing sound? If yes then you probably have a partially clogged charcoal canister. Do a search on "canisterectomy". This can happen after riding in heavy rain. if this is your issue you need to resolve it before running the engine as you are risking a fuel tank collapse. If you do not get that wooshing sound then let's resume troubleshooting....

On the slave, make sure you use new washers (4) to attach the clutch lines. Check your seals for leaking, replacing them is a good idea while there. Check your race bearings when you change your final drive out. Pull hard and your clutch rod will come out. Check that it has not broken off at the one end. as far as your cables, someone will have to lead you in the right direction. Sorry....

Hi John, Hope you read the entire thread, that is more than 4 years old. Seems that there was a misunderstanding and the "problem" was resolved. Don't forget that this thread is like TV. Only a very small segment of the real world. The events did occur, but there is another 95% that goes about their ride and service uneventfully! You might be cutting off your nose to spite your face....

Dude! Mine looks like that right now too. My nose cone is still on, for now, but air filter box and throttle bodies are off. Had an oil leak, was the breather tube. You might want to take a look at the top of your engine, if any oil puddled there, look to the breather tube. I got a shed for shelter, looks like you got a kitchen. My nose cone comes off soon, got at least...

Looks real good. Curious about the compass though! With two GPS's, why the mechanical one? Does the sun shade help much with the 2720? Mine really gets washed out in the sunshine. By the way, I was up in SC this past weekend in the cage. Nice weather until the 26th. Left this morning for Florida and it was 37' chilly.

I've used a Nylox silicone carbide tube brush in the past with good results. Attach it to your drill. Vacuum after cleaning and make sure your valves are CLOSED in each port when using. http://www.weilercorp.com/catalog_pdf/page86.pdf
