thx for the replies. Thing is with BACS or CHAPS is that the payments once initiated can be stopped by the sender before funds have cleared. It is some hassle for the sender to stop the payment but it can be done the Banks tell me (Barclays). That would leave me £12.5k short!!!! I wanted to know of a "guranteed transaction that can't be cancelled by either party" preferably the same day. So someone could come see my...

Pistonheads is a good place to list a car for sale. Also, include good quality, decent pictures - you'll be many, many more times as likely to get interest.
