I realise that they wouldn't be a reversable mod and wondered if anyone would pic up on that! My thought is that you can get the 261m rims in a gun metal grey from BMW so I might get away with it! So long as they're in good nick I can't see why anyone would comlain!

1 Series for Company Car - Help!

Your company can claim back 50% of the VAT when the car is leased, which 99% of companies would do. That is why it is important to make sure a used car is VAT qualifying, usually will be if an ex-demo, it just means the VAT has not been claimed already.

Hi there Adam, I have only had my 118i SE just over a week (my own ...not company)...and I LOVE it. Personally I would go for the 118D if you are able. I was originally interested in a Golf, but I really think VW are up themselves, with ridiculous waiting times/ rubbish dealers ...etc. Anyway, the 118D seems the best of both worlds regarding acceleration, economy & only £35 a year car tax!! ...

The sticker in mine says 2.5bar for 205/45/18 W front and 2.9 bar for 225/40/18 W rear. I have found that for my Continental contact sport 3s 225/40/18 W all around, 2.6bar front and 2.9bar rear feels right. It is particularly important to get the pressures right as with 2.2 bar in the fronts (which the fitters did as this was for the other listed tyre type Y on the door sticker), it felt ...

Totally agree! In my 130, it definitely is doing its business before it tells you about it - I have driven the same bit of road day in, day out for a few years, with and without the TC... You can clearly feel the car slowing on certain corners when the traction control is full nanny mode without the light flashing.

I assume you have the "floor" in the boot? Anyways, I belive they install the factory AMP there if you go for the higher end stuff audio wise. that's where I keep my tow cable and little toolkit. And I installed my amp in the compartment just ahead of the battery. At least there should be a small BMW toolkit with tow adapter and locking bolt adapter? (should be a holder for that on the wall next...

400MILES!!!! Wow. 24mpg is normal (and an average since I bought the car 18 months ago) for me, but having said that I don't go very far on a daily basis - 32mpg is the best I've ever seen. Personally I wouldn't go by mpg, but by tank range - best has been 310 miles and worst is 220 miles. I do find that higher octane fuels do give better range - the 310 miles was Shell V-power and a run to Scotland....

I'm still uneasy in mine after 2 months & 3500 miles. Having had 9 years of Audi A3 & TT Quattros I am needing to adjust to RWD again. Roll on the icy roads & carparks though, looking forward to some sliding around. Mr L

Proper setting up and measurement takes a lot of time. You are paying the labour for the whole job, not just the actual adjustments.

This news doesn't surprise me as a majority of 1 Series owners done really give 2 hoots whether it's RWD or not! I wouldn't be surprised that a large % of owners don't know what RWD is..... Sad day for those who do and appreciate the dynamics of RWD. I'm also confidant that BMW will do a good job of making a good FWD drivers car a'la Mini.

I am awaiting delivery of a 120d M Sport 3 Door. It will be Space Grey, which seems to be growing in popularity round these parts! There are very few in Hampshire, which decided it for me, and may I say that yours looks fantastic Ecurie Ecosse. It is going to be a company car. We have an enviably large list and after many test drives the one car that stood out was the one that I had not test ...
