this just popped up out of the top of my head: Which is better Halloween or Friday the 13th? i love both movies but i can't figure out which movie is better and scary enough to make you want to piss your pants? i can't pick.........

While arguing in another forum this question came to me, Which Franchise has the best horror theme attached to it? What theme really creeps you out when you hear it? Which one does the best job of supporting the movie? For me, of course, it's Friday the 13th. I loved this remake as well. It was almost as good as the original one. Like I said in the remake of the the first TCM, this movie was well balanced and well acted. A+

There's absolutely no way round this for me. Just so easily 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. That film was well-made, interesting, appropriately gory and quite scary.
