lol, the mods actually did move the Perfect Aim thread to the sales section, but it seems no one got the hint seeing as they started a new thread about it. Gene is VERY persistent at keeping those threads alive. Then again, I start a thread every 3 months or so to give away a few freebies, so perhaps I'm equally to blame.

For most of my life I worked the bar boxes and that is the worst setup I have ever heard. # 1. you don't make enemies. # 2. Most of the time there is 3 or 4 quarters on the table so you CAN'T lose the first game. # 3. Always ask if the table is open. # 4. If it's a repeat loser buy him a drink.
#5. The best way to draw players into the game to contribute is to KEEP winning. Everybody ...

Shawn, a lot of folks suffer, as you do.
A couple of things: In my head "playing pool with a friend" is NOT practicing. Practicing is drills, playing the ghost, time alone at a table. It is my experience that while practicing alone, you'll hit 2 to 3 times more balls per time period than when playing a game with someone.
Second: Try reading "The Pleasure of Small Motions". ...

well prof....my table is basically a GC 4 with 4-1/4" pockets. To me, the table feels normal, and keeps me honest. When I go out to the rooms to play I always feel like I'm playing on "easy bucket" tables. Even if I run into a tight Diamond, or wedged up tables, I just feel like I'm at home
I did have a GC 4 yeas ago that had sub 4" pockets....no good, and cut wrong. That table had my...

Personally, I prefer a lightweight vinyl or fake-leather-looking case that costs less than $100. I am usually the one that has to carry it, and I like it to be very lightweight on my shoulder. I am the same way with purses or shoulder bags.
A pool case gets thrown around on the ground, in the car, and everywhere. That is why I prefer a cheapy-deepy one, as opposed to fancy-schmancy...
