Longest 777-200LR Routes
Published (2009-11-27 22:01:00)
[quote=Stitch,reply=4]9300nm is possible only with passengers and bags (and even then, reflects a "stock" Boeing config so actual customer-configured models will vary), so I doubt we'll see such a mission.[/quote In addition to excluding cargo, manufacturer range numbers also don't take winds into account. You have to reduce those numbers by about 10 to 15% to get a real-world range figure.

Longest 777-200LR Routes

Quoting Jayeshrulz ( Reply 11 ): So its only a software change?...ie. They dont have to change the engines? Wow, that's nice... Nope, just a paper and software derate. Like getting a new ECU for your car to wring a few more horsepower out of it. Quoting Jayeshrulz ( Reply 11 ): Is the 77L more profitable CASM or is the A345..i thought A345 was a expensive jet many carriers to operate...take IT and TG . A twin will be more efficient than...

If you can avoid checking bags, you should be through within 5 minutes. Do that and you'll have more than enough time to grab a quick bite to eat at the food court in Concourse E before you head down to BOG .

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I have a feeling lots/all airlines do the same ? Isn't there some sort of option where you can get the Israel stamps on a separate piece of paper to avoid this problem?

Domestic in the USA, you are at mercy of the carriers website that dictates fare. The most direct route with the least layover is usually a higher fare. If you see a route geographically out of the way or has a 3- 5 hour wait between planes, that's the ole el-cheapo fare you're looking for. There are exceptions, of course. safe

Best Y Option From SFO - TLV
Published (2009-11-25 03:13:00)
Quoting Daviation ( Reply 11 ): But I've never had an issue with LY , either in their service or with the flight attendants. I've only had good experiences with them. I fly them many times a year, and LY is always fine in Y. Nothing to complain: the F/As are generally nice, flights on time, food OK , clean planes... But their C class needs a better service (but the hard product is OK ).

You have a couple of options for getting into Seoul from the airport.
The best is the Airport "limousine" buses operated by Korean Airlines. They run very frequently and cost around 13,000 Won if I remember correctly. The thing you need to keep in mind that there are many different routes that they take, typically based on the hotels they go to, so you would want to find a hotel near ...

Does she fly JL ?
If she flies onward on JL53 NRT - NGO , that is counting as an international flight and in that case, she can stay 'airside' and proceed to the next gate for JL53.

Quoting Hypercott ( Thread starter ): This is really inconvenient and that's probably why LH moved in with UA in T1. SK should do the same.
Only departures I believe. IB also departs from the AA terminal.
Quoting Hypercott ( Thread starter ): but there are no bars/food places/stores inside security!
That is the way I like it since if I am dropping ...

I would do all of the above.
I've done the following route just to fly on A346:
KWI-DOH- LHR on QR
Also to try the new CX first class and to see HKG airport I took this long route:
KWI- DXB - HKG - SFO and LAX
Will fly to LHR from KWI through DXB on EK just to try the A380 next week.
In mid 80's I flew from LAX to SAN on EA just to try 757.

Quoting RJpieces ( Thread starter ): I imagine that Delta has the best economy period since there is AVOD back there
I guess it all comes down to personal opinion but on UA I would have legroom, wifi, and AC power at every seat. That's basically all I need so I would go with UA . Of course it's not exactly a fair comparison between Y+ and regular Y. I don't think any of ...

In the Netherlands, the fares between PBM and AMS have always been relatively high. Almost never below EUR 700 during the "offseason", running as high as EUR 1,500 - EUR 2,000 during the summer for the cheapest Y fares. Distance is about 9 hours flying time (7,500 km). There's relatively a lot of traffic between these two cities due to former colonial ties. KL serves PBM 4-6 times ...

FRA airport long distance train station, located right inside terminal 1, is at the heart of German's high speed train network. Most north to south and east to west long distance trains stop there, some go through Frankfurt city though and not through the airport. But then you can take a commuter train to the airport. Basically the network splits south of the airport so all trains coming from ...

Quoting KDTWFlyer ( Thread starter ): will we ever see routes that are closer to the max range of the B77L at 9,300NM?
Part of the issue is that to get its max range all three belly fuel tanks must be installed. I think that DL has some LRs with no extra tanks and some with one, but I don't know what any other airlines do. I think that there may be some more long routes ...

Quoting Vasu ( Thread starter ): can anyone recommend any place which is good for sleeping (if any!) ? Is security a problem?
Stansted is packed at night, it's really quite an odd sight. Security don't bother you at all, but you'll be very hard pushed to get a seat and it's even difficult to get a place infront of a check in counter - there are literally hundreds of people ...
