Re: gasoline vapors
If
the smoke out the tailpipe is thick white than you have a head gasket issue. If the smoke is black it is running rich, If the smoke is blue it is burning oil. Sounds like you may have the head gasket issue.

Re: SEL and P0700
A P0700 means the Transmission
Control Module (TCM) has stored an error code. A normal OBD scanner can't read transmission codes. It only reads codes stored in the PCM. You'll have to use a transmission code capable scanner.

Re: 05 Caravan hits "wall" at 3500rpm
You can check for codes using a scanner or the key dance. Try both. I would suspect either a fuel or timing issue. Maybe a pump on it's way out that can't handle high demand or a
ckp sensor or harness issue. If you can get a real time scanner you may crack this....

Re:
brake fluid leak (brake booster)
usually when the master leaks from the rear seal it enters the brake booster, if it did I would replace the booster also. I heard of people just sucking out the fluid from the master and re-using it, but i wouldn't recommend it..
