My God, I do not know what it is. I tend to talk to a lot of W-body (namely GTP/GP owners) and associate a lot with them even locally. In all honesty, minus a few bad seeds (which it typical regardless) the GP people have always seemed more than friendly! You guys have to be one of the friendliest bunch of people I have ever met. Today when I was on 108th ST in Omaha I was just driving along and a 2004'ish (not sure the year, but the...

yeah, good luck on the house. I can hardly wait too. I'm saving a lot of my paycheck for a house, hopefully I will be able to put 40-50g down on a nice one when I am ready.

you can try unplugging the MAF (make sure you unplug it with the key off) and drive it that way to see if the problem goes away. If it does, then the MAF is bad and cleaning will do no good. On the IAC, you'll just have to unbolt it from the t/body to see if it's carboned up.

RPM drops when shifting 3-4th gear

Good to hear from you again Tim. In the past week I replaced all plugs (AC Delco Iridium's), new wires, new fuel filter, new PCV valve (I did it because I thought this was a possible cause of the shudder). Mitch

That sounds a little like when my crank sensor went kaput although not exact symptoms. It could also be related to a coolant temp sensor which is not planning the proper "overfuel" to start reliably although I'd think the reverse would be true of hot and cold starts. It could also be fuel related. If I run the tank down below 1/4 and then refuel I have to open the throttle otherwise it stalls on the first restart. 1/4...

XM Radio Problem

Sounds like a bad XM tuner. It's either in the trunk, or in the rear deck. But then again it could be integrated into the head unit.

I have a 02 GT 3.8L with 76k on it. If the car sits for a few hours or overnight it always starts and stays running. It seems if I drive it somewhere and shut if off for a few minutes is when the problem occurs. It starts up and dies immediately. Then I start up again and it runs fine.

Tim. the part is called a Deflector, Lower Air or Radiator Air Deflector/Baffle. The GM PN used to be 10423208 but may have been revised to a new part number so check with Rich to be sure. But the number appears to be good and the GM list price is $64.61.

We replaced the shifter control in the 2003 Grand Am 3.1 litre. It wasn't that, so its still locking so you can't get the key out. Could it be some kind of brake sensor??

This is normal and don't worry about it unless the light comes on and stays on. When she shut the car off and restarted it the ABS computer reset and what ever the problem was corrected itself. I have had this happen to me on snowy days and it is nothing to worry about. If the light stays on have it scanned you could have a bad sensor or broken wire otherwise keep on driving. Even if the ...

Is this a GT or GTP? For a 3800NA in a GT the MAP is on the opposite side of the motor, near the PCV Valve in the UIM. On a 3800SC, the Map is behind the supercharger towards the firewall, near the large alternator bracket. P0108 usually indicates a bad map sensor, but I would check the wiring for proper reference 5V and ground, and I think on the 3800NA motor there may be a rubber grommet or ...
