CKP on the side of the engine is the most important sensor on the engine. If that one does not work you will not start. All other sensors can be substituted by PCM maps if they go bad.

Yes its very tight in there! The thing about the thermostat is the rubber gasket gets caught in between the housing and intake and over time starts to leak. Wont know without getting in there and inspecting.

There is a way to have them professionally cleaned. Most oil change shops can do it or you can take it to a mechanic. The cost is about $50-75 to get it done. This would be cheaper than injectors but with your mileage reman injectors may be the way to go.

$600 to $1,000 depending on the labor rate in your area. This would include the LIM gaskets, valve cover gaskets, EGR gaskets, o-rings, oil pump drive o-ring, t-stat, injector 0-rings, plenum gaskets, oil change, and coolant flush.

tried to do the OHM check but couldnt get a valid reading really. Ill just have to wait till i get back to class on monday and have the students in brakes look at it. The new sensor is within spec so ik thats good atleast. obviously im thinking its in the wiring from the EBCM to the sensor or the EBCM itself.

Yeah I see some of the older cars dating back to the late '80s/early '90s with NJ plates in town once in awhile with 2 major colleges in town we get a lot of out of state students so it's interesting to see how cars hold up in other parts of the country when they are in town. Even areas downstate south of Poughkeepsie and Westchester Co. seem to hold up better because their winters are milder than ours.

There is 20A fuse for injectors and fp. if fuse is OK. then pump is bad. You can hit the bottom of the gas tank with rubber mallet while someone is cranking the engine if car starts replace pump.

not much philosophy involved for this, you have two "D" shaped brackets that hold the tank. Just be careful with the plastic quick disconnect fittings.
Also don't forget to clean the tank and replace the sending unit for the gauge.

it took me forever to fall asleep. i just didn't feel tired for some reason. once i did manage to go to sleep, i woke up at about 4 am and my stomach felt like it was on FIRE. I'm serious, it KILLED (not quite like a kidney stone hurts but it sucked). I almost threw up because my stomach was churning and on fire. I...

Welcome to AF!!
The coils are a good place to start, you should have 2, but so are the connectors (boots) that attach to the plugs. These can go bad and since they carry the voltage from the coils to the plugs if they are cracked or just worn out as yours may be they will give you the performance issues that you indicate.

It is possible that you either have a sticking thermostat or a bad coolant sensor. With this many miles I would replace the thermostat just to be on the safe side in case it is sticking. Cheap insurance against overheating.
