FH just told me they've updated the fire boards on the air force base. The highest is now not 'extreme danger', it's 'catastrophic' I have no idea if that is somebody trying to be funny.

Building - where, when and...
Published (2009-12-07 09:57:00)
We've had a set back. We've come to realise, we were compromising too much of what we wanted in a house, so we're going to wait a bit longer before we build Least this way we'll get want we want, and not just want we can afford for the moment. Bummer

I have a mortgage on one home, can I get a second mortgage to pay for another house? I'm planning to relocate, but current owe a mortgage for $50k. I also have a bankruptcy on my record thats a couple of years old. I'd like to find new home in the state I choose to live in. Would I be able to get a second mortgage or refinance my current home in order to pay for a new one? ________________________ market samurai ~ marketsamurai ~...

Yep, I'm concerned about this fire season even though we live in a very rural place and don't have bush around us, there are still thousands of acres around us that have grass & stubble buildup that fire would just race through. eosh if you are wondering if you can do it, maybe live for a month or two as if you had that loan? So all the money (minus your current mortgage) that would go to the new mortgage goes into a savings account, you only have the remainder to live day-to-day. If you really struggle then I guess you know the answer- good luck.
