Dish positioning on the roof
Published (2008-11-19 21:08:00)
Nil, its just like a 60 to 90cm strength. The dish is cband and ku capable. It should be marked on the box, it has to do with the size of the holes in the mesh. The hardest part is finding the sweet spot to mount the ku lnb, you have to turn the dish a little with the positioner and mount the ku lnb to one side of the cband feed horn. When doing this i have my signal meter fitted and play with the dish position and the position of the lnb...

Chanceforlove You are a wordsmith.A true lexiographic linguaphile. It puts the barbed wire in dish' the edge superior and the cable fastenings of in lnb arm. Anyway have the birds gone yet ?

It's with great regret that I announce the death of my whitey. There were no pics when I arrived home this arvo. Not being much of a wanker I popped it in the Irdeto purple cam and pics usually come up within a minute. But today they didn't. I had the new update applied to my card a couple of days ago and interestingly enough the hsn was not in the stream but amazingly I could get pictures. ...

Had a pretty big storm in Brissy last night around 1am. I was watching tv then started to get major pixelation then total signal loss on nearly all channels for quite a while. I have a 85cm dish pointed to C1 and have a dream and a PC card and both had no signal. The main reason I got a 85cm dish over a 60cm was for this exact reason so I would not get drop outs. It was pretty heavy rain ...

Hi all, when I finally get my cband dish, I'll mounting it in a position on the roof that will be approx 4 - 5 meters directly in front of my 65cm Ku dish........ obviously one dish for Ku & one for Cband, now I'm wondering just how much affect on the Ku signal would this have? I would assume there would be some affect on the Ku signal from C1 through the 65cm dish and maybe a ...

I feel the time has come for me to bite the bullet and join up, as I have a few questions to ask in other threads and I may be able to help with others. I’m not after free advice and then leave without helping others. I am no way near the bees knees on satellite equipment; ...

Signal Quality IQ - 9 new posts
Started 1 week ago (2008-11-14 21:17:00)  by stanks
Gday, Just moved my dish an IQ box. Currently getting 83dB and 81dB on the signal strengths. But, my signal quality on both is jostling between 1.00E-5BER (which is the maximum), and sometimes can drop as low as 1.37E-3BER. I live in Geelong and its a pretty clear, calm night tonight. For what its worth, the sat end of the RG6, the F types are crimped on, whereas the IQ end, the F types...
