You are, of course, joking about Mr Tuckey! There is just no one who would do any better than Turnbull. Tony Abbott is lining himself up but hopefully they won't ever stoop to having him as leader. To change leaders again would make them look even more foolish.

I'm curious to see if Aussies think the same way of Americans on the subject of evolution. I found this chart of "What do Americans Believe" three choices a) God created the Earth in the last 10,000 years b) God guided evolution of man over millions of years c) Pure evolution - no God involved no need for a lot of commentary (but up to you) but would appreciate your time in voting,...

Someone mentioned to me today that a child was still considered a dependent to the age of 21 ? 1 million ... boy. Hmmm ... I read on a forum where there was suggestions that a McDonald's franchise was around $1.5 million, and perhaps $1 million to setup ... perhaps grab a few friends, and bring your children up on happy meals and the playground, until they finally start working there until ...

I have always been fascinated by the reasoning people go through before they decide to have children. From a very young age, actually I was 8 and can distinctly remember the moment, I realised having kids was not for me. Since then I have wondered what it was that made people invite such drastic and irreversible change into their lives. Are women still pressured by society? Do men feel a ...

I believe the Coalition should reject both schemes, let Labor have their double dissulution and go to an early and fight Labor on flawed schemes which will do nothing to reduce CO2 emmisiions. It is a con job like the Alcopops tax. The labor party said they would impose a tax on ALCOPOPS to stop binge drinking. When the opposition tried to reject it in the senate, the Labor party cried...

This is just a a partially thought through strategy to get the ball rolling. I'll put more effort in later. This should get on average a 75% survival rate if my math is correct. The last in line should say the colour of the hat worn by the first in line. The 2nd last in line should say the colour of the hat worn by the 2nd in line etc. right up to the 50th last in line (=51st in line) saying...

John Howard was rubbished when he said that we will decide who comes to Australia and the circumstances under which they came. Now of course it is the people smugglers who decide these matters and it is making Kevin Rudd look very weak. Mouthing off abuse at the people smugglers didn't work, and now he has to start sounding like Howard, making "no apologies" for a hard line. And he has to...
