anything above a digi 2 hehe just depends on ya budget dude. but in all seriousness if its running fine why change it.. no need to reinvent the wheel if it works ok. your not in a drag car chasing the tenths of a second.. off memory digi2 has a single wire off the coil for an ignition input. now if you plan to go down the upgrade track any upgrade means you need a series 4/5 cas for the ignition. as for ecu depend on ya budget (either second...

also to aid stratification in petrol applications { h2 wont need it but requires a cold area fuel intake separated from the incoming charge of the next flank } ( 4- 96 % explosive limits !! --this is why the h2 engine has the top injector ) but,, maybe search ROSCO ( rotating stratified combustion ) ,, as this is when mazda first tried the stratified charge technique with semi direct injection on top of the engine then came the SCP engine (...

Did you have a look at the tread that popped up here the other week? Mazda's redesign of the 13b, part of it wass direct injection - however they were injecting into the chamber near the top - in the inlet phase. Im suspecting it had something to do with lubing the apex seals - if you inject directly into the combustion phase, you wouldn't get any lubrication.

Lubrication nill you say, does not figure, omp is still injecting oil and thus still lubes the apexes on rotors, now add small screw compressor to the equastion...add some injectors(placed accordingly)and is there a reason why this will not work?my bases seem to be covered...there is still the suck squeeze bang and the blow happenning, critical part boost required and the software for injection/spark timing. does it have to be petrol, why not lpg...

Give it a couple more days, turn it over at least daily, the more often the better. Centrifugal force could make them come out, if it will run at all. If its been sitting for a while and they are seized then it might be rebuild time.

So you have a 12a with a high mount AC compressor, and want to change to 2nd gen compressor? Don't know if the comp will bolt up to the bracket sorry, but can confirm that the two pipes comming through the firewall fitted straight up to compressor flexible pipe and condensor pipe

sounds like you've got most bases covered, make sure the idles smooth and the car pulls smoothly through gears, im guessing its a standard/unmodified motor. Take it for a good drive a let it idle for 5mins or so and see if she gets a little hot, temp should stay fairly stable. Hope all goes well!!

all single dizzy 12a water pumps are the same the cast impeller is a stock unit, the bent fin unit ( like alt fan ) is a shitty GMB crappo replacement the cast pump is a much better unit,, though both work fine if in good condition ( the mazda pump will last many many years,, GMB not so long ) s4 and s5 and s6 all have different pumps ( s6 reverse direction ) but realistically there is not ...

If your having space issues, you can mount the gate on the dump pipe, just under the firewall area - sorta when the firewall flares out into the floorpan. You now have basically the same run as a 'normal' setup, except the gate is on the other end of the plumbing Dont forget to include a flexi fitting, or everything will crack apart on you.

hi mate, digi 2 doesnt use the 02 sensor to run the engine. no microtech does. its only ever used to help tune and for datalogging and that all.. so leave it disconnected if its upsetting the engine running..

I am absolutely no expert but I have heard of people having problems with turbo smoke that were due to needing a restrictor in one of the lines. Seeing as you have just replaced a line, thats probably a good place as any to start looking.

S5 has larger ports, better flowing inlet manifolds, throttle body and intercooler. better flowing turbo. Different exhaust manifold. electronic wastegate control. electronic oil metering pump. Different rotors. Stronger revised endplates. different oil metering nozzles. different injectors and rails. Quite a few other differences too, but should give you the picture. In my opinion the s5 is a ...

Have a look at web page here: http://web.aanet.com.au/~arran/car/part1/FuelSyste m.html Your surge tank looks like it's pretty normal from the pics, though the vertical outlet seems to make it hang lower than it needs to. The efi pump, and possibly efi filter, goes between these two spots as shown by my quality markup of your pic: Attachment: 79593473.jpg [ 47.71 KiB | Viewed 89 ...

Hi there ! just the green wire has power the red wire only gets power when the reverse switch is activated ,it's that wire that feeds power to the reverse lights, you need a new reverse switch by the sounds of it but if your switch is good then run a new wire (replacing the red) from the switch to the reverse lights
