You're right, it's hard to tell what people are like from text. I've met a few guys from on here and none of them have been as expected and I'm pretty sure I wasn't as they expected either. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I'm pretty sure in this case you've got me all wrong, 'onest guv! Merry Christmas x

Do car dealerships really think...

Tbh, the 2.99% available to me is by drawing down on my mortgage. It's available to me for the next three years, no fees or penalties for withdrawing or overpaying to pay it back either. I was going to do it and then set up a standing order back to my mortgage account to repay the extra money borrowed for the car, but in the end decided on buying something cheaper that I could afford to pay for using only my savings. I looked at all...

staz, this was only my opinion on how you come across to me on reading your posts, i feel that if i carry on the matter may get out of hand and result in a ban, i have no intentions of falling out with anyone on here, it doesnt hurt to have some more up front discusions but as this is probably not the time nor the correct thread, ill catch ya on another. lol its hard to understand peoples personality by text, it does allow tone or how...

Just to follow up on this.... I now have the car. Long story short, looks like the sales man messed up on the deal we agree'd. It ended up going to the dealer principle for approval, so they've either sold me the car at a loss, or with very little profit.

First let me apologise for a long post, I just really need advice from a general point of view as to the legal view and moral view on my problem.
I work for a clothes shop part time whilst I'm at Uni. I get 30% discount on all clothes and I bought my brother a leather jacket which was £110 for £77. What I didn't know was that the jacket was actually for his then-girlfriends brother.
I got...

Turned up at the dealership to collect my new pride and joy tonight. Looked around the car and all is good. Start going through all the paper work and everything is looking great. Right up until the credit agreement comes out.
Some how they had managed to add an extra £720 to the amount of credit I actually needed, and their excuse was "so we could sort the APR" to match the ...

I noticed Ebay have made other changes but regarding P+P. So, when you list items such as a CD, PC game, computer cables/accessories you now MUST provide P+P free of charge. Ebay claimed this change improves the buying experience of the buyers (ok it also prevents sellers charging unreasonable P+P costs) - true but not in all cases. Many sellers list their items at 99p + a couple of quid postage...

I always am saddened when hearing of our brave men in an unwanted war but ignoring the politics they are heroes and Sgt Simon Valentine, aged 29 and Lance Cpl James Fullarton, aged 24, have paid the ultimate sacrifice in being killed in an explosion in Afghanistan but these men are local and it just brings it home seeing the families ...

So I have this female friend who's into cars, well, both she and her bf. The guy is having some limited success in some carpark events (autocross) with his daily use car (a Proton of some sort).
1) The guy knows EVERYTHING there is to know about cars...i kid you not, there is not a single topic that he would not chime in with his opinions or what he read on the internet.
2) They think ...
