Chasing a problem.

Throttle position sensor possibly, Gas related, bad dv. Though with all the things you've moved around in the motor it's kinda hard to say. Not sure how your n75 bypass would work in your favor. Each time I've tried to get passed it, it doesn't work in my favor, unless I simply unplug the sensor.

Audi A4 Loud Humming/Whining...
Published (2009-12-03 13:02:00)
is the humming coming from the radio. I know there is some sort of fan or something in the climate control that could create this sound. Someone correct me for the proper location of that noise and soultion. .

Alarm beeps when locking car...

I also have the same issue. However I got a workaround. Always turn off the ignition before opening the Driver side door. This seems to help ... at least in my case. I have been doing this for past 6 days and the alarm didn't even go up once. Hope this helps.

so i take it you do have cvt. from what ive read from other forum people is that its about an 8,000 dollar job to fix once it does go out since. http://forums.automotive.com/70/6213...ems/index.html if you want stories of what might happen to you id read that link, but ill warn you, your gunna hate it. options at this point would be to take it till it breaks, then replace or cut your losses and try to find a manual transmisson or a quattro...

Tuned exhaust systems are the way to go imo. They are manufactured to bolt perfectly and sound good as well. I paid the $1000 tag for the APR exhaust blah blah blah, and I wouldnt have done it any differently. This ad is not displayed to registered and logged-in members. Sounds like a timing problem to me too. Its possible the belt let go before it was changed and caused some damage. Not sure how to recommend you diagnose it further, but others who are more knowledgable than I will likely chime in.
I don't think a timing problem of any sort would damage the plugs, but I may be wrong about that...but if you've got a chunk of spark plug wandering around ...

Any fluid leaking and getting on the exhaust is going to smoke on you. Find the leak and fix it and you'll be good.

OK so i decided to try out this so called wonderful German Engineering and I am already losing confidence in their work. So i just bought a 2004 Audi A4 - Auto - 51K (Private Sale) and when I checked it out it was great...no problems.
When i was driving home that night i put on some music and the Bose system was nice, I had a tape adapter in which was hooked up to my ...

There's plenty of stuff for the 1.8T, to start with chip, injectors,
clutch, turbo upgrade, intercoolers... you name it you'll find it. Check
out ECS tuning or Dubtuning. Also check out ringer racing, he's an

I have MT6s in both my A6 and A4. Never had a buzz in 3rd gear. I do notice that my shift into second on the A6 sometimes feels sticky and have read that synchros on this gear are the first to go. That doesn't surprise me at 156k miles, but most of the time it shifts smoothly in all gears with no unusual noises. If your synchros are failing, the symptom is rought shifting and not the noise...

Its either the motion sensor, door sensors, trunk sensor, hood sensor, or
the wiring to/from them. Gonna have to trace it out.

Well if thats where you traced the leak, its almost a 100% chance its the
coolant flange leaking. They leak from everywhere on that thing, especially
from the seal thats between the flange and the head. As for that hole, the
one on ECS tuning looks like it has a knock out, but its still sealed,
yours is flat out broken.

If you're trying to remove the ash tray you need to pull the radio (using
special removal keys) then push the a/c control head out of the way. Once
those are out a couple screws and a good push will pop out the ash tray,
which is what you should have done to take out the coins.

There is no taking the cats out of a 3.0L. If you look at the O2 sensor set up you will see why. You would have to make a custom set of down pipes and flanges to mate them to the cylinder heads, that or just hallow out the cats. This WILL cause a check engine light, but it won't affect any engine performance. Will it make the exhaust louder? Yes, will it raise the horsepower?......Not enough to ...
