The positive battery leads on my 1992 Avant get rather hot when car is started. Have also had battery discharging over several days when car not used.
Starter motor works ok.
Any electrical speciallists out there?

Hey there everyone! Before I ask you something, just wanted to introduce my self.
I'm Dima(Deema) and I'm the owner of 1993 C4 100. Owned it for almost one year now. Clean Title. Just trying to tune it up but economy is ****ed so that part goes somewhat slower as from what I expected.
Never the less I love the car and adding to that I love old school Audi's starting from late 80's to mid 90's....

Do you have the manual or automatic A/Controls? On my 1996 A6 Quattro the spring for the return air flap and
fresh air flap broke loose from its plastic anchor. Using VAG-COM I found two more faults: Temp Sensor in Headliner (G86)
Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68)
You can get VAG-COM from Ross-Tech: Home .
You will also need the Audi A6 shop ...

Red and Blue > 12V +
Red > from ignition sw 12V +
White > Lights on / radio buzzer
Grey and Blue > Lights on 12V +
White and Blue > Speedometer (vol increases with velocity)
According to this wiring there's a wire that sends a signal to the radio when the door is opened, ignition off - the white.
I'm not sure of, but give it a try

Yes, if your belt breaks you will likely bend some vavles.
The hardest thing about changing the timing belt and the reason it cost so much is because you have to remove the front clip to get too the front of the engine to change it. They are suppose to be good for 100K miles. so if yours was changed when it should have been, you have plenty of time left.
