Why Malcolm Turnbull is an idiot.

QUOTE (Leonid @ Nov 26 2009, 07:18 PM) Some reporter just commented that Turnbull must have balls of steel to bear all this. LOL Turnbull also refused to answer questions on how many resignations he's been offered. Pretty soon he's going to have a party of backbenchers and no frontbenchers. Have also heard he's been referred to as a KGB Colonel...

QUOTE (tantryl @ Nov 26 2009, 11:28 PM) Equal rights under the law? Dead. QUOTE (Malkieri @ Nov 26 2009, 11:29 PM) Would you renounce the views and beliefs you hold on threat of violence? Are you threatening me? QUOTE (willm @ Nov 26 2009, 11:32 PM) Your government does not explicitly grant you that right in any document similar to a constitution, but you have the right in practice, and...

QUOTE (drago13666 @ Nov 27 2009, 12:54 AM) at the very least you know that you have the least dangerous hobby as long as you remember to breathe occasionally. Put all your whipped cream in a balloon and you don't even have to remember that. Rob. This post has been edited by robzy : Yesterday, 11:59 PM

QUOTE (willm @ Nov 27 2009, 12:37 AM) Yes he is, it's a basic principle. Principles aren't reality. They're like the square root of a negative number - useful for a process, not actually real. QUOTE (willm @ Nov 27 2009, 12:37 AM) Of course, I'd be interested to hear why you consider yourself to be either above or below him before the law. Because I'm either wealthier or poorer than...

QUOTE (willm @ Nov 26 2009, 11:21 PM) I would like to clarify though, how is it hypocritical if rights are enforced? You can only enforce them by stripping them from the person you are enforcing them against, yes? How do I stop you from taking anothers liberty? I take yours.

QUOTE (willm @ Nov 26 2009, 09:31 PM) I wonder how such a thing would work, going by the different earth governments today. How would such a government ideally be setup? A federal government, with members retaining most of the power? Something similar to the EU, more of a union than a government(as much as that may be changing)? Which legal system would satisfy everyone, civil or common law? ... It seems like a logistical...

QUOTE (Rybags @ Nov 26 2009, 11:04 PM) Buy one of those cheap plastic dragon type toys. Get a hand-line fishing outfit, put dragon on a hook attached to fine, transparent line. When the cunt lights up again, start casting the dragon from your own balcony in an upward direction so he gets quick flashes of it (fishing line is obviously so you can quickly retrieve it). Do it enough, he'll be 100% convinced he's...

QUOTE (willm @ Nov 25 2009, 11:07 PM) It is incidents like this that reinforce my belief that religion has no place being taught in school, regardless of if the school is private or public. It's incidents like this that reinforce my belief that the church still has far too many authoritarian fucktards. I'm all for the church having beliefs and providing spiritual guidance to whomsoever wants it. But to pretend they...

Interview with a white hat hacker on the security vulnerabilities in the filters. http://www.banthisurl.com/2008/12/exclusiv...lteri ng-scheme/ This guy has done testing on the filter boxes and has hacked them. Anyone else who can do the same can turn off Australia's internet connection or intercept all internet traffic. It's quite long, and when you're done remember to keep reading ...

http://www.deeppencil.com/marijuana-laws-in-austra lia/ (that's from 2003, some things may have changed, for example WA is no longer decriminalised) *EDIT* A more up to date one for NSW in 2008 . *EDIT2* It would appear the WA act hasn't actually been repealed yet, even though I was sure they put it through a month or so ago. It's listed on austlii as still active though.

QUOTE (thesorehead @ Nov 20 2009, 11:40 AM) Nuclear power. Point taken. Rephrasing: There's no way to reduce emissions from all areas of industry without economic cost. IIRC, power generation only makes up a small portion of Australia's emissions.

Talk about your wildly inflated prices for that proceedure. Sure there are some labia shaped wildly outside the norm that could do with a little correctional remodelling but they are certainly not common. Reasonably common are lips with mild to moderate variation (big or small) but unless the woman has psychological problems and even then unless she had been through therapy first I would ...

While thinking "1shot makes a very good point, junior wages seem to make no sense, I wonder why on earth they brought them in in the first place..." I came up with the following thought... Perhaps it's to keep younger people employed? An employer when given the choice between a 17yo and a 21yo would likely pick the 21yo, junior wages give the younger guy a better chance at getting the job....

QUOTE (dsagill @ Nov 20 2009, 09:57 PM) Liquids and solids don't burn...at all! What happens is that you heat the liquid or solid and it will release more and more vapour as the temperature goes up. Without an ignition source nothing will happen. If you ignite the vapour then the vapour burns and heats the solid/liquid producing more vapour and continuing the reaction until the ...
