umm try it on another computer or something ive had a problem before where it was my video output causing the problem not the monitor and it was flicking between stand by and on constantly.

You could have got the acer for that or any other 24" Though you are right its a pretty sexy screen. But for that price I would take it back!

Yeah did that a couple times, no harm in trying again I suppose BRB troubleshooting Edit: Ok, reseated, and no dice, same error Will run the windows memory diagnostic if there is no other solution forthcoming Edit 2: ran the windows memory diagnostic, no errors found... wtf This post has been edited by Apocrypha : Today, 10:02 PM

HWMonitor is good enough for me. For CPU core temperatures, I use CoreTemp.

Firstly I would ask if the screen is coming out of standby or not. As in is the screen powering on and displaying nothing? Or Is the screen staying in standby while the computer is booting away happily but you cant see it? Are you hearing any beeps?
