*Agreed. Some guy named Greg Maddux earned his paycheck off of his amazing pinpoint control.* Hey now, you better be careful throwing comparisons like that around. As much as I like Minor it is just a tad too early to be having Mike Minor and Greg Maddux in the same sentence. Shoot, that's like comparing Freddie Freeman to a "in his prime" Todd Helton. Who would be dumb enough to do that. ;)

What about Nelson Cruz?

You are right. The Rangers would want Jurrjens for Cruz, not Lowe......and that isn't happening.

All of those reasons are exactly why the Braves won't get Cruz. The Rangers would probably want Jurrjens or Hanson in return.

Might have had something to do w/ "kicking in a bonus clause" ? IDK - that just looks out of place for the oldest regular on the team.

His chances should be pretty good. He will be a little hurt because some of the stats of his era were inflated because of the steroid era. He was so good and consistent that he looked somewhat unnoticed. His name was not one of those that would come to the mind of the casual fan when you ask who are the "greats" of the game. The 1500 RBI stat is a dominating stat, almost anybody who has 1500 plus RBI is in the hall. And the...

I disagree with Jones, Prado, McLouth, Vazquez and Schafer. All those guys will be gone by then and Schafer will never be anything more than a bench rider. I also think Cody Johnson will become one of the games best power hitters, not unlike Mark Reynolds. But I think it's almost impossible to project this far into the future. Here's mine: C-McCann 1B-Freeman 2B-Trade/FA signong 3B-Trade/...

I think Lowe + one decent prospect would be the most offered for Cruz.

Dig the name, but there's no hope of Adrian coming to the Braves. Not sure how I feel about trading for Pierre, either...it'd be nice to have a leadoff hitter, and we'd save some money if we could dump Lowe on the Dodgers, but I think I'd rather have Lowe than a speedy leadoff hitter who doesn't take walks.

The Marlins will get a good haul for Josh. He should put together a few really nice years pretty soon. Well, last year was really good. With their new haul, they will probably hit on some. I can picture a Boston deal like the other Florida Josh. The Marlins know how to compete with prospects. Also, I think this new talent will mature in time for the new stadium. This will likely ...

I would love to see him too but it would take a lot to get him. I would just hope that they have the good sense to do a sign and trade instead of trading for a one year rent-a-player.

*Go to Texas they are looking to dump Millwood and his salary, they to are looking for a right hand hitting outfielder with the expections that they would loose Byrd.* I'm confused. So you want the Braves to go to Texas and do what? *However Byrd wants to return to Texas which will make this trade very duable for NelsonCruz.* Oh I see you want the Braves to trade for NelsonCruz, or is it ...

Not sure the why the interest in DeRosa. Can play LF, backup at several positions and add a bit of power at a reasonable price but may want more years than I'd like to see. Dye had a great two months last year and a miserable four months. He hit under .200 in the second half and his defense has declined badly. Nady might be the best option if the price is right. I really don't see the ...

I really don't think the Braves would have much interest in Cabrera. He is known to not keep in good physical shape and had that bad drunken brawl with his wife late last year with the Tigers in a playoff race. He also makes tons of money and is poor defensively. I don't see it happening. And, of course, the first player the Tigers would ask in return would be Jair Jurrjens. I just don't ...

^ ^ ^ If you could think of someone other than Medlan I would say yes. As for the other deal, I would say yes to that one too.

He started his career with the Braves, so why not bring him back? I remember he hit a home run in his first major league at-bat too. He could be a better option than Adam "I'm only good half the season" LaRoche.

Jordan Schafer - .204/.313/.287 Now before you throw yourself on the grenade for Jordie, realize that I'm (sort of) joking.
