I've had several responses. Looks like there might be three of us. I'm really disappointed in LA and Orange Counties. This is where I live and can't seem to get any interest. We've had a recent event at Bloomingdale's in South Coast Plaza and only a few of you made the effort to show up. I'm attending a conference in San Francisco and have some time on Monday afternoon November 2 for drinks if anyone wants to get together. My wife and I are staying near Union Square around Market Street and Powell. Otherwise I'll just go shopping since I'm busy at the conference the other days!! In one of Lawrence Block's novels, the protagonist says you have to sip Laphroaig until you stop hating it. (Google suggests it is Mrs. Rhodenbarr's boy Bernie, but doesn't that sound more like John Keller?) Always something about a Scotch that takes your breath away when you sip it.
