Hiya hun, We live fairly close to Bourne so it was a quick drive in and back out again last week. I must go in on the next trip. I would say that if you had had any probs the consultant would have told you so dont worry. I am fed up with having too much information. At this point all I want is someone to take over and tell me what I need to do...Oh yeah we will be doin that in a couple of months. x

Hi deep, 84.5 HCG is quite low for 18dpo (the day your Dr did the test) I am surprised he has left you this long to scan! I would phone them and ask for it to be brought forward, for your peace of mind at least. Where did you have the IVF can i ask? Julie xx

I have been such a hormonal cow over the weekend - my poor husband he must be sick of me! - whar will we be like on the ivf drugs?? It would be good to meet up for a coffee sometime before we start treatment - that's a great idea....

Hello, welcome to askbaby. I cant really help too much as unfortunately I have never had a positive pregnancy test and am still waiting for my IVF. If your blood test came up as positive I would say you definitely are pregnant although Im sure someone elso on here will be able to help you as to what the levels should be. If I were you I would probably be constantly taking home tests just to see if they were stilll coming up positive. As for...

Hello just wondered if anyone had a reversal done and had a delay in the sperm returning. My husband was tested at 3 and 5 moths with no sperm present.
I have read that it can in some cases take 12 months to return, the vasectomy was only done 3 years b4 the reversal, so we were optimistic.I guess i have told my mind that there is very little hope now.Would love to hear and simialr stories ...

Hi Minxy - OHSS is a serious (can be life threatening) but fortunately quite rare complication of IVF.
With 45 follicles you are indeed at risk of OHSS - you cons is right to be concerned. They will keep a very close eye on your estrogen levels, and if they get too high - worst case scenario they could cancel your cycle - good, they would just collect your egss, fertilise them and freeze ...

My husband has a form of arthritis that means he needs to be on a type of medication which stops us being able to ttc. As a result he has been off it for 2yrs in January and really needs to get back onto ...

Hi Lighthill,
Sorry to hear you are having to resort to IVF and the clomid didn't work for you.
The best place to start your research into IVF clinics is the official HFEA guide, see link which gives you all the statistics to help choose the best clinic for you in your area.

Teresa hun - they can give you extra eostrogen to thicken your lining if they think you will need it.
The 20 follies she saw is good! Its called an antral follicle count and it helps the Dr to determine how you will respond to the drugs, and also gives an idea of your egg reserves. I have about 8 on each side on a normal cycle, so mine was diminished slightly.
Some ladies have 20 on each ...

Dolly,
I am sorry to hear youre having problems after VR. You may need to look at other avenues such as IVF (ICSI) if you really want a child together.
Perhaps post on the VR thread and see if one of the ladies on there can offer some advice?
I hope youre having a better day today - hugs,
Julie xx
