Looks great Joanne. The folds on the side of the nose look velvety soft. I'm looking forward to seeing his big happy smile develop!

Thanks Linda , for the vote of confidence. Good to know you are doing alright. I plan to get started this weekend. With all the addition on the library thread, I think I have enough books to stick in . In any case, for the size of the drawing ( 15" X 20" ) , I don't think I'll be able get too detailed on the text. Perhaps I can make a hint at the covers a bit. BTW, just because you are on a bike, you needn't...

Thanks Lene , this particular mag has published lots of coloured pencil articles over the last year and did a lot on drawing too which was great as so few mags bother with drawing. But now there is a new editor I don't know what direction it will go in....I will wait to see the January issue. Bev

Looks good so far. I believe your barn owls over there are quite a bit
darker in colouring than ours. We have one local that I see often when
walking the dogs...such a magical sight watching them in the wild....and
they come pretty close too....very close in fact. They can be really nosey.

Well that Sheep is lucky to have owners who would commission a portriat of her Your doing a fantastic job. How large is this?
I totally understand about the worn out feeling. I don't think it getting dark so early helps any either. Bright side is....On Dec. 22nd it will slowly start getting light again..more an more each day

Wow Joana! I've seen your work when it comes to water, and I know you can do justice to this drawing. I love the contrast of the hippo's tough skin agains the water. Great choice!

Hi Jason, I was thinking about you only today, wondering if you had deserted us and here you are with another great painting!
I love the blue light on the white fur, I hope you are going to keep it, makes it quite mysterious and dramatic.
Do you get asked to do more tigers than other wildlife? They certainly seem to be everywhere at the moment!

Doberman
Drawing is about 17 X 22, part of a larger drawing roughly 55 inch by 6 ft. Not to sure about drawing animals yet. This dog will be heavily shadowed in the drawing and laying on flowers, leaves and peddles and such. Thanks for looking, any advice welcomed.
