I don't think you can see an AppleTV in isolation, it's not useless without iTunes but comes close. It isn't a HTPC, just a media extender with some added features. Given that, I'm happy with putting content into iTunes just to play it back on the big screen. With Handbrake, if you can get it as a file on your machine you can put it on Apple TV. (40GB? I wouldn't care if it was 5GB, you can't ...

Valve's best move is to ignore these lame complaints and go ahead with the release. Anyone who bought L4D when it first came out already got their money's worth, including several significant content upgrades to a game that already boasts significant replayability even for a multiplayer experience. That said, these guys are clearly sellouts. Suffering through a 2 hour plane flight? Pfft.

quote: Oh—and did we mention that the US ought to be "engaging our trading partners in meaningful dialogue on how to strengthen and improve their IP legal and regulatory regimes"? The word you're looking for is "threaten". The US hates the IP freedoms of other nations.

So ATT thinks that email access =broadband? Christ you can do that with dial up. Come on, the bar to call a service 'broadband' needs to higher than that.

Their test methodology seems horribly flawed and ignores any advantages gained from a fast browser. They basically loaded pages, then refreshed them every minute. Their tests should have at least taken into account the faster speed of the other browsers and the fact that they would, by extension, be running for shorter amounts of time. A more realistic test would have been based around an ...

Let's say: it would have taken them long enough. This nickle&dime practice must be the single biggest reason to switch away from apple products. It makes my blood boil everytime. ESP since ms can give away free zune updates. Now apple how about allowing me to buy an iMac with decent gpu without doubling the price and I will love you again.
