Lt. RichardS' player looks up from polishing the small silver fox hunting horn and reads the Captain's orders. "Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear." He keeps repeating to himself sounding a bit like Piglet in a particularly bad Winnie the Pooh episode.

Gentlemen of the 4th glider (5th sections of both 1st and 2nd platoons and the RE section and HQ platoon), forward at the run, march!!! The members under my command will move towards the orsay bridge, cross over it and then attack the eastern bridge at a steady pace to try to save the pinned down platoons.

Lieutenant Golani walked out of the cafe to greet the 2nd wave, surrealistically calm to all the chaos around. Captain sir, I have to inform you that Richard and his REs are already attacking the east bridge, I fear rushing more guys there will just get the situation out of hand, I suggest that we keep the new soldiers fresh, distribute them to their original platoons and start working on our defenses, I'm listening on the radio in case...

You hear a LOT of this kind of thing from the Pacific, much more so than from any other front in any other war, except China.
In Europe, I heard a story about an American who blasted one pilot who was in the process of bailing out, a really close shave off the rule. Blasted him right back into the cockpit.
But context is where it gets more interesting. The German pilot had demonstrated ...

Gents,
Horsa gliders have two pilots - one piloting, while the other navigates, which is not a bad combination, having two pairs of eyes looking for a LZ in the dark.
Once the glider lands, the pilots come under the responsbility of the senior commander on the ground.
The glider pilots can fight, but since they will not have train with your group, you should not use them as another...

Sweden was an obvious pawn in the greater conflict between Germany and the allies. Germany and Sweden were a symbionic industrial pair. Sweden had the minerals and German had the coal, each required the other to make armaments. If Sweden had allied with the allies, or attempted to cease iron ore shipments, there is no doubt that Germany would have occupied the country.
Neutrality in Europe...
