When tuning for what you want you use a slightly different method. You tune the bow for field points and then using both, you adjust center shot or nocking point to bring them together > if the fixed broadheads are slightly off, move the rest right or left or up and down (or nocking point) very, very slightly. Personally and said by a lot of top hunters, if you're shooting fixed broadheads, tune and sight for fixed broadheads. PSE...

The only one I have is Tuning Your Compound Bow. The others don't apply as I tune all my bows the same way, regardless of whether it's for hunting or target. Stll, Larry does know what he is talking about. I know him personally for many years. That being said, for tuning I still like the Easton Tuning Guide. It gives instruction for several methods of tuning and in simple English. It's timeless. Tuning methods do not change...

Athens 2 Track Dual Cam Timing

So far I have gained about 8 or 9 FPS. I am still playing with it a bit. I am sure some of these tuners that do quite a bit of work on these cams could get more but I am happy with my results so far.

Not that it really matters, but I'm curious as to why you want to do this. if your arrow nock is near eye level, you're essentially 'rifle barrel' aiming, which is okay, but it seems like you're just using the arrow tip as a sight, which again, is fine, but I'm just curious. I shoot my compounds instinctively from time to time, albeit at substantially shorter distances.... If the bow as a short ATA, I'd worry...

I shoot with gloves all year. New winter gloves have the same effect as adding thickness (front to rear) to your grip. I'm such a bad/sensitive/picky shooter that 1/4 of an inch messes with my anchor and over-all comfort at full draw. I like a solid "back wall" and feel strange if I'm not there when settling down for final sight alignment. I shoot poorly enough when I dont feel strange. Im even worse if...

Sorry, I was stuck at work. I believe the last I read Mathews suggests backing the limb bolts out a few turns prior to pressing. Depending on the model and what type of threads the limb bolts have determines the recomended number of turns. I would check with a dealer on that. Alot of people don't bother to back them off, but I believe it is Mathews recomendation. In any even, don't press more than needed to get a string or cable off....

as the previous post said start close I say 10 feet keep moving the pin towards the error. arrow high move pin up, arrow low move pin down, arrow left move pin left, ect. when you get back to 20 yards use the top pin for 20 yards. 2nd pin 30 yards, 3rd pin 40 yards hope this helps

Have you tried shooting bare shafts at close range and seeing how straight they impact the target? Does sound to me like your rest is too low in relation to your nocking point. How does the arrow set in relation to the string when the rest is at the top of the stroke? is it pretty square, or not? You should have plenty of adjustment in your sight if all is set up right, I would think. I just went...

Calling all Hoyt experts! I have a new Turbo Hawk, 70 lb. draw weight, shooting 5570 predators, Whisker bisket rest. My problem has been, since day one, was "weird" arrow flight. My groups are OK not great. I thought it may be an illusion but all of my buddies say my arrows have a quick corkscrew and then track straight. I am not an expert...I don't even have a bow press. I tried papertuning in...

what kind of peep are you using.
go to lancasterarchery.com and search peeps. See what style you have. The angle of the peep may not be aligning fully open at full draw. Kinda hard to fix w/o being there.
Seeing that your in Hawaii - I wish I was there.
If your are going to be shooting feild archery with it, out to 80 Yards, set your peep height at the distance of 40 yrds.

I posted this in the general archery and was suggested to move it here so I will make this as short as possible, I have a 2008 Hoyt Vectrix Plus 27.5" draw, winners choice string, QAD Ultra Rest Pro rest, I shoot Easton AC/C pro hunters 390, blazer vanes. I have been having tuning problems since i bought the bow(new) in June of 2009, my pro shop has tuned the bow a few times, and right after they...

Sometimes none.
Others will experience a " bumpy" wall, which is actually both stops hitting at different points.
Depending on wether the top or bottom cam is over rotated, you may have problems tuning nock hi/lo conditions out.

The first step is to remove the draw stop from the top cam. Since the bottom cam/stop is going to be your reference for tuning it is best to remove the top stop. It is not needed at this time and removing it will guarantee that the top draw stop wont come into contact with the top limb before the bottom stop comes into contact with the bottom limb should your top cam be too fast/advanced....

Anybody else jump in if I miss anything..
Press only enough to get a string or cable off. No sense in going any more than that.
Draw yourself a sketch of how things are routed prior to removal.

Yes it could easily change your draw length since the new grip may be thinner of thicker in the distance between the bow and the inside of the grip.
