Hey so Ill give you the run around on whats the plan and the man behind it. My experience? Id like to say novice, I currently have a 30 gallon fancy goldfish tank. This stuff is simply unbelievable. I had a plant tank a few years ago, and picked up some brush algae off some plants I bought. Of course it got everywhere, and I took down my tank because it simply got everywhere. Anywho, it got all over my driftwood. When I took the driftwood out, the brush algae became matted down as it dried out and basically glued itself to the surface. Recently, I ...

What type of algae is this on my anubias nana? My tank is still cycling and I have no nitrAtes. I've had the lights on for 10 hrs/day since Wednesday and I added the nanas on Friday evening. The algae is only present on my two nana plants. algae.png

I have a 10 gallon tank and I would like to make it into a planted aquarium. My 10 gallon tank has just the basics (flourescent bulb-15 watts, Whisper Filter and a heater). I want to have lots of low light plants and maybe some medium light plants. My question is what do I need? Thanks in advance

At the moment, I have some easy plants ( java fern, sword, asian ambulia). I am looking into more difficult plants in the future. I will be implementing a DIY CO2 system within this week.

Oh, the other thing I was going to add is that I am planning to put a glass cover on the aquarium (instead of black plastic) and lift the light up a bit so that my surface plants which get pushed to the corners are not in total shade. Has anyone made this change before and noticed a big difference in light at the bottom of the aquarium? Would lifting my light a small amount significantly ...

I have a 35 gallon hexagon tank and it is 20 inches tall. Right now I have a java fern and an anubias nana tied to a piece of driftwood with twine. The lighting includes a 15 Watt fluorescent light, and I also keep the tank in direct sunlight during the day. Questions: Do I need more light for the tank than I currently have? The hood that the tank came with only takes 15 Watt bulbs....
