Front end options? Might Need one

that is everything inc bolts and spacers, carbon guard and Brembo radial cyl. The penske internals and the work to set them up is half that. I know I'm crazy. the forks and calipers only cost me $700. You might be able to have the stearing head machined to suit the gsxr tripple trees, who knows, the bearings may be the same size. What is you reason for wanting a new front end?

I was looking into it as a back up to the stock ones. Thinking of using my stock ones on another frame, then upgrading to newer ones. not sure I can handle that additional work right now... Got to many projects going on with it... Was hoping that the gixer front end was easy swap...front ends are cheap enough...not looking for ultimate perfoamnce from them, just need them to work as good as stock ones LOL...I guess what I was looking for was...

If you go for GSXR1000 you need to revalve and respring as they're too stiff for the lighter RS so you'll be looking at a lot more money they just the forks. You will possible go backwards in the braking department too as not much could match the std brembo's... (unless the std brembo's with a radial master) AF1 did a top yoke but not anymore (unless there's enough demand I think) Lozza here might have a set of forks...

My standard response is to check the spigot on the bottom of the fuel tank. It's a vent and an overflow spigot. When fuel dumps into it, the spigot can become plugged with hardened fuel. You'll have to clean it out. I used a drill bit and some carb cleaner. Don't go in over an inch. The breather tube is made of copper, and takes a turn in the tank. If you go in to far, you may puncture it, which ...

A fixed valve is going to focus your power hit more. The fact that it presents a single, even, unbroken face to close of the valve is probably a nice plus, but not huge, especially if your conventional three part valve is well maintained. Big if! Ari

Don't know if there is a fork bottom available for the Showa forks, but any i have seen on the net are stupid expensive. Prob easier to change the forks andd have them valved and resprung to suit. I have 2006 GSXR thou forks and brakes on my baby. Simple job on a 98+ model.
