Advice for wannabe

I think the most important part of the equation is whether or not you have a really good dealer close to you, if you do, all things will go better. Then, it is kind of a matter of numbers. You are far more likely to get a bike that will cause you little or no headache than to get a problem bike. However, the ones that are a problem tend to keep being a problem (and I'm not talking about the nuisance issues). Also, the only dealers that I...

How much are you guys paying for a new Shiver? I would be happy with an '08 model, anyone seeing these discounted? I live in Los Angeles and need to use my bike for daily commute. What would really seal the deal for me would be a dealership that provides loaner/ rental bikes (or even scooters) at a reasonable daily rate. Recommendtaions are welcome. My Kawasaki dealership seem to think that...

Hi folks. I may be looking at trading in my Shiver in the next couple of weeks. Since my dealer is unlikely to care and/or give me any extra for it, would anyone here be intereseted in it? VGC, £50? Just a thought.

I know we've been over this a few times. But..... I decided some time ago that I wanted to replace the cans on the Shiver. I have been waiting for alternative options other than the LeoVince cans, not because I don't want Leos but primarily because I didn't just want to buy the first ones on the market when alternatives will be 'available soon'. I was also interested to see what the ...

For all those who have fitted Leo Vince pipes. And maybe the Akropovic too as I don't know how they are fitted. My entire rear number plate /light indicators holder has broken off just behind where the three bolts hold it on. I went over a couple of pretty big bumps today which probably did it. But the original pipes provide additional holding points for this which are obviously not there ...

Life's a bugger innit. Got taken out this morning head-on by a reckless driver who turned into my path without looking. Turned out the female driver had given police the bird a few moments earlier and they were trying to stop her, so Police pretty much saw the whole incident and arrested her! Must say, the police were brilliant and very supportive. Bike doesnt look too bad, but I know ...

This is the very first mechanical glitch I have experienced. I am just under 1 k miles. Tonight I was in 3rd going down a slope through a tunnel, came up on a light and pulled the clutch in. Down shifted to 1 while coasting to the light. The engine quit. The dash was still on. Hit the starter and kept on. I didn't do anythign unusual except perhaps that the bike was a bit cold and I was ...

Hey - newb question. I have had my Shiver all summer and every time I start it it remionds me not to forget to enter my user code. Looked through manual and asked service tech here and have yet to find out anything... I have been having too much fun riding to really worry too much about it - had my first service, etc... Am I supposed to have a user code provided or is this just ...

Any news on good looking after market shift levers for the shiver? I remember there were a couple of mysterious items some months back talked about here, but nothing definitive.
