They said they would warranty it, but I had to wait 2 wks for their first available service call to confirm, and then another visit when the part comes in. I just can't afford to miss two days of work on top of the $90 service call. The times are tough enough as it is, I don't want to give my not so wonderful employers an excuse to relief me of my position.

Ouch. Right on, man. Given the first failure, I guess the water/detergent is hard on your unit. I'd powder coat it. Hell, it'll be so nice you'll want a picture of it in your marquis below your name. Good luck.

when I had mine out, the drum, not the spider detatched, I seem to recall that it was screwed to the stainless drum. My opinion, and I'm no expert, but I did have this conversation with an aircraft mechanic that is prone to coating any bare aluminum. He seemed to thingk that even the powder coating wouldn't last all that long. Untimately you have two dissimilar metals touching, the aluminum spider and the stainless drum. I unded up...

I just finished the installation of the new bearings in my washer and it works great. I decided to join the forum just to share my experience and because without all of the great info I received here I would have thrown my washer out. The bearing part numbers were spot on. I found them at Action Drives in Winston-Salem, NC. The seal was purchased from Advance Auto Parts (it is a National Oil...

Hi, This is my first day here. I'm SO happy I found this site. We have a Bosche front load washer, 7 years old. It seems to shake a lot for a while during spin. Now, it generates an error when it gets to spin (I think at that point it takes so long it is hard to catch it). You can manually spin after it quits. But it shakes a lot. I leveled it again really level. The Man is ...

My wife would like to switch out our conventional washer & dryer with a pair of stackable units (two washers, two dryers). Who offers the largest capacity and good reliability? Or is it pick one or the other?

I bought a Samsung B1113J Front Load Washer off of Craigs List to install in my parent's old house. The guy said it was working fine and did a short demo - not a full cycle. After taking it to my paren't place, I installed it and tried starting it. It begins to fill up with water but before the wash cycle starts, it ends in an E1 error. I have to select "Drain" to drain the water...

Hi, The Warden (the wife) just notified me that the washing machine just stopped in the middle of the cycle, it is full of water. I turned the selector to different cycles but there seems to be no power on any of then. There is no noise (buzzing or clicking) coming from the motor. Could it be the timer? Or lid switch? If so is there a way I could test these. Thanks Tim

Hi everyone. I'm in the market for a new washer soon & I'm wondering what brand seems to have the least problems etc. A couple of years ago I heard Whirlpool was the way to go. Are they still good? Thanks, Any advice is appreciated

My Kenmore 110.20712991 leaks down the back of the drum when starting to fill. The drum can be moved back by hand so the water runs directly into it, but after a cycle, it won't run without hitting the back of the drum.
