I upgraded to 8.01 and lost all internet connection. My system was working perfectly before the upgrade!! Have been using the same computer with Itunes for 4 years with no problems. There is obviously a serious problem with this version. I had to do a system restore to get my internet back. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes - same thing over and over. Have to system restore ...

Just spent a couple of hours on this! I have XP and was using iTunes 7 (not sure exactly which but we got it in Jan. 08). It worked great. Haven't used it in a month or two and now it won't open when I click the icon. No error message. I tried searching online and ended up uninstalling QuickTime, uninstalled iTunes. Downloaded iTUnes 8 today (801, I believe). Tried all kinds of ...

I recently added the new iTunes 8 but really don't like it and want to go back to an older version. Is there any way for me to do this without losing all the music in my library? For example, if I uninstall the new version and reinstall an older version, will all the contents of my library be lost? thanks!...

My music library is complete, but my playlists, usually displayed on the left side of the screen, under "Playlists," are nowhere to be found. I am delaying syncing my iPod, because I don't want to lose them all forever, since they took hours and hours to create/perfect. Is there another way to get the playlists from my iPod to my computer, maybe using a different program and ...

I was hesitant when updating my itunes to 8.01 because last time I tried updating it wouldn't open and became a huge mess. I had been using a version of 7, and updated to 8 yesterday. After updating I restarted my computer and there were two itunes icons on the desktop. I tried one, and it came up with the message: quicktime failed to initialize (error -2096)quicktime is required to ...

Perhaps I haven't clicked enough tunes - but so far, everytime I click a tune that is French (lyrics and artist) - Genius can't create a playlist and asks me to click something else. I'm using tunes 8.01(11) Is the the case? If not, Pouvez-vous m'aider ? Au revoir! Message was edited by: bfmcmillen...
