I tried using the free Switch on my G5. But it won't do .wma files without a plugin Yes it does just fine with no plug-in. -> http://www.nch.com.au/switch/ Note that it will not convert DRM protected files. iMac G5 (Rev B) ALS - 2 GB RAM   Mac OS X (10.5.8)   silver mini, blue mini, silver shuffle

Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions. On a PC there is File > Show Duplicates which I'm guessing translates to iTunes > Show Duplicates on a Mac. This shows songs which have the same name & artist, not such a useful feature in my opinion. However, you could click on this and then select all but one of each group of identical tracks for removal but that will be time consuming. Why not take a look at Doug's AppleScripts...

There is no Pro version of QuickTime10 as far as I know. You can still use QuickTime7.x and the Pro key will still work. To prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod - hold down the 'option' and the 'command' keys when plugging in the ipod - key the keys down until the iPod is listed under the Devices list in iTunes - this will prevent a sync from taking place and you will be able to change your settings MJ MBP 2.5/2/320 -...

itunes can actually track their updated location Actually, it's the Mac OS finding them, not iTunes. Mac OS is very good about keeping track of items. I would NOT recommend you continue to do this since it is not the correct way to do it for iTunes and and it will fail at some point. iMac G5 (Rev B) ...

I JUST had a similar thing happen - Error message: "You changed your billing information outside iTunes" (uh, how the heck would one do THAT?) followed by: "Complete your billing information." All it wanted was the credit card security code, which I entered (again) and which the store rejected again and again ...
