How do I disable my voicemail...
Published (2009-11-25 15:05:00)
Apparently disabling voicemail is only available in Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, the Carolinas, Mississippi, and parts of north Florida. Looks like you're gonna have to find a line that's not answered and forward your calls there. Or, put your phone in airplane mode the whole time you're gone, the phone part won't work, but wifi will still work. MacBook Pro

Never ending stream of repeating...

That's very odd. Do you have another phone (not necessarily an iPhone) that you can put your SIM in and see if the other phone gets these repeat messages? That would at least tell you if its a phone or network issue.

Issues with the alarm!!
Published (2009-11-24 04:50:00)
I've had my 3Gs for two weeks now, during which time I've set the alarm almost everyday and it has worked fine. However, yesterday and today I began experiencing some problems with it. Namely that it doesn't go off at all. But when I slide and unlock the phone the alarm starts ringing instantly even though it has passed the time I set it to ring. Just now, I set the alarm for 12:45pm to test and it went off fine. Does anyone...

The carrier has to also offer it as a service. Each carrier is different and your plan may not allow it.
For example, some carriers only allow like 3 conferenced calls. Others 5. It is up to carrier.

Are there actually duplicate copies of the SMS in the SMS app on the iPhone?
Are you reading the SMS when it arrives, or just previewing it on the home screen. By default the iPhone will remind you twice if you don't actually read the message.

The iPhone does not offer this functionality, so no application can provide this.
BluePhoneElite will do it for hundreds of other Bluetooth enabled phones, but not the iPhone....

Same way as you send local or national ones, except you use the full international phone number.

Call customer care and they will remove voicemail from your line, this will have the system ring your phone for aprox 30 - 45 seconds (6 - 9 rings) then lead to a message that you are not available.

It should not drop calls like that. Take it to Apple (not AT&T). They can see how many dropped calls you've had and may replace it. Make an online appointment at the Genius bar first... http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

The iPhone's Messages application has never had an Inbox, Sent, or Outbox. The iPhone's Messages application saves all messages in conversation format by each contact messages are exchange with similar to what an instant messaging application does.

Ringtones are added to the Phone if you have it set up to sync them. If you manually manage your music, you'll need to drag and drop them onto the phone just like songs. If you automatically sync, you need to enable syncing via the Ringtones tab in iTunes.
As for SMS messages - no, you can not add tones to that....
