Yeah, I really doubt that image quality has to do with it. Because the artwork that iTunes provides, when you use the "Get album artwork" feature to fill in album art, is always very high quality. I typically use iTunes to fill in my artwork, or I go off and find my own when they can't fill it in. But it's never been a problem until now. Hi again. He tried what you suggested and it hasn't fixed the problem. He wants revert back to OS 2 and if it fixes the problem, then re-update to OS 3. He seems to think something went wrong when updating to OS 3, as it only started happening straight after the update. I have the same problem on my 3GS. I was manually managing my music, but when I go into the iPod app, it says "updating library" for a minute and then says "No Content".

In iTunes select the songs that are missing art work on your phone, use the "get info" option to bring up the Tags of the song and paste an image of the artwork into the artwork tab.
iTunes stores the artwork info in a hidden file on your computer. In itunes when you play a song, the artwork comes up. On your phone, this hidden file doesn't exist, hence the missing artwork. If you ...

The volume control on the Apple in-ear (even the standard set) controls all volume options on the iPhone. Basically it replicates the volume control on the phone.

You are talking about compilation albums with various artists, right? In iTunes, select the affected tracks, right-click and select 'Get Info'. On the Info tab, check the box at the bottom 'Part of a compilation'. This'll make all the individual tracks form a single album bearing the same album title.

The scrubber bar (the controls you're talking about) is toggled ON/OFF by tapping the album art (when in portrait orientation).
