Thanks Matt for the - what should have been obvious but wasn't - answer. I set up mail and it's a good client, much better than the web interface. For others' reference, this has also solved another problem I was having, which was, how to delete old messages on my iPhone. I had close to 25,000 of them and wasn't about to do them one-by-one. In Mail, I have complete flexibility to delete which, and how many, I want, when I...

However, both Gmail and Yahoo Mail will allow you to do either of these, and each are free. uMBP 15" (2.66Ghz,...

all mails show up in Junk(mobileme)
Published (2009-11-25 22:07:00)
Hi, I have a strange effect in my mobile.me mail. Since a couple of days all mails don't show up in the inbox anymore, but are all in the junk(mobileme) folder. I have double-checked the mobileme settings and the junk filter is turned off. I send myself mails from various mail accounts but there is no difference. Also, I have checked the header and it has the characteristics "nospam". I'm quite puzzled and have also...

If you do not use the Mail app, send yourself an e-mail, and check it on the website (me.com), do they still show up in the Junk folder?
I'm wondering if it's the Mail app that is flagging them, or if it's the MM server.

No, you're not missing anything. The service is completely lacking server-side rules.
I have over 30 filters set in Gmail to shuffle my messages into appropriate labels. Since I can't do that in MobileMe on the server I only use the service to push some messages to my iPhone.
I'm surprised that Apple has gone so long without updating the mail service....
