Your existing (saved) emails should remain intact, but you could always move them to a temporary folder until after a reinstall of mail.app. A reinstall should produce the stationery folder. 20" 2.1GHz iSight iMac G5, 250GB HD, 1.5GB RAM   Mac OS X (10.5.8)   iLife 9 and iMovie 6, Toast 7.1.3, iTunes 9.0.2, QTPro 7.6.4, Safari 4.0.4

Thanks. I just downloaded and ran it, found the UserHeader section and removed the notification line, and sent a message to the guy who was receiving the requests. Why don't you try quitting Mail, then go to Home/Library/Preferences and remove the com.apple.mail.plist file? Then try restarting Mail and setup your account(s) again to see if the problem continues. If you are using IMAP mail accounts, be sure to go to Home/Library/Mail and remove your IMAP mailboxes to the Desktop before restarting Mail....

The numbers you posted are well beyond anything that I have seen in the past. I have my ISP mail provider to automatically delete messages after a month, so I have no frame of reference. Barry...
