Sure. Bounce to an mp3. All the settings are there. And for sonic quality, you'd need a hefty amount of quality in your recording room acoustics/microphones/preamps/converters/monitors to be really getting something out of 96kHz. Far more than any amateur or even semi-pro setup would justify. Even top notch professional studios are running at 44,1kHz or 48kHz for 95% of the stuff. Christian 8 core 3.0   Mac OS X (10.5.8)...

I also use a PC in conjunction with my (old) G5. It's set up so that either computer can act as the master. Both machines have identical RME PCI cards lightpiped together. I can bring in 8 separate audio channels from either machine. The PC gets used as master quite a bit as I need to use Cubase to stay compatible with the University npr/pbs which uses Nuendo machines. I've just checked the developers' site, and it seems the last version of Speedster is from 2004 - PowerPC only. You will NOT get Speedster to run within audio software running natively on Intel hardware, as all plug-ins must also be Intel-native (i.e. Intel-only or "Universal Binary"). Sorry. I had the same question this is the response I got No can do, unfortunately. There's no way to copy the audio files to another device in the usual sense we think about it - even if you could they'd not be good for much, because they're not WAV files, there's some kind of compression scheme involved. If your interface for Logic has an s/pdif input, about the best you can do is to ...

I suspect a corrupted Plug In (probably 3rd party) to be the culprit. Boot Logc while holding the control key->Disable Core Audio->open your project->all Plugs will be crossed out. Bypass them all (option+click on them)->enable Core Audio in the Preferences->bring back the Plugs one by one. As soon as you activate the corrupted Plug In Logic will crash again and then you know, what to...

If you're looking to run Logic 9 then you really need to be running Leopard, and 10.5.7 at least (though you should double-check the specs in the L9 manual to be sure about the minimum OS version number). I mention this because you have 10.4.8 listed as your OS. If you're going to update and run L9.0.2 then you need 10.5.8 minimum....

For quick and easy chipmonk effect, try using the 'Pitch Shifter' plugin in Logic. To speed up and slow down wav's in Logic 8 you'll have to go 3rd party (you can do it in 9 using the new 'varispeed' feature). A free and easy solution is an AU plugin called 'Speedster' - Google it. It's fun and easy and should do what you want, albeit with limited control....

Hi Booksix, Not sure if this helps, but I was also frustrated with the velocities of the drum replacer... so random. Until I figured out how to set the velocities to one value. Once you've analyzed the track, go to your piano roll editor, choose 'transform' and then 'fixed velocities'... then you can choose whatever velocity you wish and it will fix every one of the hits... and there ...

Well, if the EXS24 has gone missing (has it? What happens when you quit, restart the Mac and try again from a new project - same result?) First step: refresh the preferences: 0.
