Ah, a Palm Pre...I read on the internet that Apple changed itunes so they would not show up like iPods, or perhaps the other way around. For instance, http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/11/19/palm-drops-itunes-workaround-for-now/ You probably need to google around on Palm Pre support sites to see if there is a way. iMac 10.5 or WinXP SP3   Other OS   external hard drive, B-W U2 iPod, 1G shuffle, 2nd gen Nano

iTunes burning error 2131
Published (2009-12-05 04:22:00)
I built my computer and am able to burn CD's using other programs that I've used in the past. However it was a pain and took too long just to burn a CD. Had to convert the songs to mp3 before I did anything. This is all iTunes messing with me over and over as I have the latest firmware and drivers for all my hardware. This I make sure of.   Windows 7

You get Apple support by going here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ Be sure you specify the problem, as they don't always check the forums. The more info you can give them, the better. I used the mp3val before I posted the original thread...didn't work. But I just downloaded and used Switch and it seems to be working! It wasn't working at first but after I restarted my computer and tried again, it worked! Thanks for all you advice/suggestions!   Windows XP

Does it still burn with other programs? No. As soon as I put in a blank CD, it takes off and acts like it's burning something to it, but the CD is not useable in anything, just a coaster. I really need to get this stopped so that I can back up my computer and do other things with iTunes and the CD drive. Thanks for any information or suggestions you might have. gateway

The iTunes ability to burn a long playlist across multiple audio CDs has always been buggy and unreliable. To save yourself frustration, split the long playlist into individual lists that are each comfortably under 80 minutes. Then burn one at a time. ...

Hello there, In order to play music on your iPod through iTunes, you have to set it up to "manually manage music and videos" by enabling this option from under your iPod's Summary tab on the original computer you set the iPod up with. Otherwise the songs will appear grayed out and you will not be able to play them. Keep in mind that manually managing your iPod's contents is a ...

It's personal preference...nobody here can answer that for you! Test a few import settings, buy a few downloads, and go with what makes you happy. One thing, though....some MP3 album downloads cost almost as much as the physical CD. In that case, I recommend buying the CD, since then you will automatically have a backup in case of drive failure. Pretty much all MP3 stores only ...

No, you don't. I do that all the time with 24/96k AIFF and Apple Lossless. Just import them like any other format. As a matter of fact, you can even do 24/192Khz or 24/176.4Khz if your ADC is capable of. They will take up a lot of space but it will be more future proof. iMac 20" Core Duo 2G...
