Hmm, upon further investigation my problem has changed. Apparently it is getting power. It seems my logic was flawed. What I was doing was plugging in my extra mouse and then finding the USB Root Hub where it popped up.. then disconnecting the mouse and plugging the iPod into the same port expecting it to pop up only it didn't.. it appears under a different Root Hub. Even in the same port, the mouse appears under the 2nd one down the...

I'm also having the same problem when it comes to syncing the iPod with my Windows 7 64bit PC, it starts to load the songs, then stops after 4 or 5 songs and then causes the computer to go really slow. Apple must bring out a fix for this surely??   Other OS

Add another person with this problem. Really annoying, done everything I can think of to make it work, even tried a 3rd party driver to make WMP recognize the ipod and sync with it. Seemed to be working well initially, but then WMP player started behaving the same as iTunes did. Couldn't close it or anything, had to force it down and then restart the computer to make it useable again. HP   Other OS   Win7

Argh. I'm in the same boat. Upgraded to iTunes 9 and now it won't read my iPod, although it shows up on my desktop. I don't want to do an iPod restore as it has 5000 songs on it from my old computer and I'd lose them. Desperate for a solution! I tried deleting all of the iTunes 9 application and files, and installing the 8 version, but then it just said the iTunes library had been created in a newer version so it...

iPod Sync issues in Windows 7

Hi Guys, I did a lot more research and came up with a solution that worked for me. It's apparently a problem with the NVidia driver for my system coupled with the 64bit flavor of Win7. Microsoft is working on a fix, but it's probably going to go out as a Hotfix linked to a knowledge base article, and not as part of Windows Update. So, my suggestion to people having this problem is to check the workaround posted by MS here:...

Hello there, Do you have your iPod set up to manually manage your music and videos or do you sync it automatically? If you are syncing them automatically, do you have your iPod set up to sync movies? I'm assuming your manually managing your iPod's contents, due to the fact that you are dragging the movies to your iPod in iTunes. What format are the videos you are trying to sync...

I believe it can be a problem of the USB Hub, have you tried to connect your iPod directly with your computer (without the Hub)? MacPro3,1 Quad-Core , 24" iMac, 13" MacBook Pro and 3GS iPhone Mac OS X (10.6.1)...
