Hello ridgetopboy. Welcome to the Apple Discussions! If you have the 802.11g AirPort Express Base Station, you can create a Wireless Distribution System (WDS) between the AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) and the AirPort Express Base Station (AX), which will then enable the AX's Ethernet port to connect the Xbox 360 to. If you have the 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station (AXn), you can either create a WDS or reconfigure the AXn as a...

I want to send music (particularly Internet Radio) from my Mac to my conventional stereo. The Airtunes service only supports music from iTunes. To listen to other sound you would need Airfoil  . Wouldn't the best choice be an Extreme for the base (for future wireless connections), plus the addition of an Express right at my Stereo? Yes that would work. Any wireless router could be used as the base in this situation.

I had to turn off my firewall before it worked. You can give that a try and also check out these links. The last thread is long . http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8449925&#8449925 http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8054296&#8054296

Now, if I plug this superantenna transceiver into an Airport Express or TimeCapsule (Airport Extreme) wouldn't that send the signal wirelessly to both of us?

You don't need anything else, however, the Express is capable of n 802.11N speeds. Therefore, you're limited only by your G-router.

Has anyone had success with this? In my situation, I have a PB (10.4.11) that works fine but the MBP (10.5.5) cannot see the AX at all. Seems my problem also started with the iTunes update to 8. Is it possible that some new DRM component in iTunes messed up the port assignments or something?

Well thats not true. I wound up having to reset up my Extreme. (All connectivity was lost on the Extreme when trying a direct Ethernet connection to the Express) So the Express is still a useless $99 paperweight.

Yes. I have that exact set up. I don't have an Xbox; I have a wired video phone that connects to the TV in the living room. Set up WDS on the AEBS and then set up the Airport Express as a remote bridge. Post again on this thread if you need exact details on the process.

...funny, but from time to time it just works fine and i don't know why (iTunes finds my AirportExpress while in AirPort Admin Tool it is not shown!!!). i have iTunes 8.0.2 (20) on my MacBook Pro and the same on my Cube but i guess my Cube does the same problems since new iTunes 8.0.2 is installed.. maybe it depends on the iTunes version. Strangest thing of all is: i still can't find the checkbox to activate AirTunes over Ethernet...

I mean. I know that people say that a router must be hooked up to a one central computer (usually desktop rather than laptop) by Ethernet Cable all the time; however, in fact after configuring the router I disconnected the Ethernet Cable that was connected between the router and my central computer, and "Shazam" the router works independently without any Ethernet Cable. No computer is ...
