I really need 8 hours a night. I can function on 7 or 6 for a day or two, but it's not pretty. Though I do pretty cerebral work that requires extended periods of focus and attention, so I guess sleep deprivation has a greater impact on me than people in other walks of life. Not enough sleep just has me zoning out all the time, which is devastating in the middle of a lecture that requires you to keep track of 4-dimensional objects in space...

If I'm sleeping for only 1 - 4 hours, an alarm. More than that, usually nothing. Caffeine is a bonus but not a requirement. Some breakfast always helps.

Women used to be in very strict roles.
So did men.
That has changed A LOT, but it is still here.
I'd rather it go away completely, as I really hate the "model" female that society currently has, but it takes time. And we have come a long way and are still going, so I guess it's alright for now.
It takes a long time to change the thinking of a large group of people.
