I've really started disliking character songs recently, I've been deleting them right and left. Most of the seiyuu can't sing for beans in their character voices. It didn't really bother me before I started learning Japanese, but the more exposed I became to the language, the more the character songs began to bug me. As far as I know there is Japan X they are considered Metal and they appeared in the Canadian Documentry Metal: A Head Bangers Journey but as most of there music I heard sounded like shitty Ballads. I hope it helps some what but maybe try Wikipedia you might find some there

The Nico Nico Douga 2007 medley ( the Kumikyoku ) was a little dance medley of anime / game themes, and was kinda cute but wasn't anything you'd want to withstand more than once. Someone's made a hugely superior cover version as an instrumental using traditional Japanese instruments. I love it; I've been listening to it all day yesterday. It's great. The Nico Nico Douga 2007 medley ( the Kumikyoku ) was a little dance medley of anime / game themes, and was kinda cute but wasn't anything you'd want to withstand more than once.
