Go there and start going through each manual one by one. Eventually you will get down to the bare case.

The battery is likely bad. It probably has a
dead cell. Beg or borrow another to try. If it works (charges and runs the notebook) then you'll know.

That sucks. Is it still under warranty?

SU2300: Dual Core, 1.2GHz, 1M Cache, 800MHz FSB
SU2700: Single Core, 1.3GHz, 2M Cache, 800MHz FSB
The SU2700 will be a bit faster in single-threaded applications, but the dual core will kick it's ass for

perfect balance of speed, battery life, and price. I have the P8400 and am very happy with it. The other chips just seem a bit slow and the 9600 is just to expensive.

HP Compaq dc7900 is a
small form factor model that I have seen mounted to the back of a PC monitor. These mount on the back of a normal monitor and the stand does not look designed to support them.
I believe that dell has some options that mount on monitors as well (the optiplex SFF models can mount on a special monitor stand).
Kinda like this picture?
There are a few options that ...

I heard a rumor that intel is going to be focusing on other things and has put USB 3.0 onto
the back burner until late 2010 or early 2011. I suppose it is also possible that LightPeak will replace it but who knows.
