Just some things off the top of my head: -Living Room Casino: you'll be the
master of all parties with this one. We bought an inexpensive (<$20) 3-in-1 casino set (blackjack/texas hold 'em table on one side, roulette numbers on the other, and a roulette wheel included) at Menard's. Play for something other than real money, obviously. -A little game called "Pit". It's like stock ...

I know he wasn't the most political man in Hollywood, at least not that I am aware of, but the great Bernie Mac has died from complications of
pneumonia. After reading about it, I kind of had that feeling of disappointment knowing that there will never be a new Bernie Mac movie. I have always found his characters entertaining; even though his stand up can be a little crude, I have always ...

My wife is the wine snob, I'm the beer snob........but we like to go to wineries and sample everything they offer. Mostly we stick to reds, we like Old Vine Zinfandel,
Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Bogle makes the best Petite Shiraz, Gnarly Head the best Old Vine Zin in our opinion. I know we've had some Chilean wine, but I can't remember what label, and the wife is out of state so I can't ...

We've had a "Current Cinema" thread for a long time now, which, by it's nature, constantly refreshes. We've also looked at gaming and radio over the years (though these threads haven't proved as popular). But it strikes me there's a big gap in 's coverage - TV. Broadcast & cable; new, rerun and DVD - TV is all encompassing and
pervasive. We (almost) all watch it and get pleasure, boredom...

I just saw the movie 'Jarhead' and thought it was pretty good. I'm not sure what a Marine would think of the film...I know whenever Mr P sees an Airforce movie about pilots he gags, but we both liked this one, and I would hazard a guess that it realistic (it was written by a former Marine). It is probably not a good
recruitment tool though. The whole time I watched it I was grateful that my ...

You may have heard we had an earthquake on Tuesday. I read this editorial in the local paper, and thought it summed up the situation nicely, and with humor. I thought I'd share. QUOTE Well, that was interesting. It's certainly not every Tuesday that the 14th floor of the Arco Center
sways the way it did yesterday. Maybe it's the denial that comes with living in California for nearly ...

The question is simple: What is it that you are bugged by? (blow off some steam) I'll start by saying that lately I've become very annoyed with anti-American rhetoric, both on the board here by certain non-American posters, as well as in other realms of discussion. I'm sick of it. If we suck so badly,
leave us alone. There. That's my rant.

November 11, 2005 GOP Elects House Majority Minority Leader by Scott Ott (2005-11-11) Moments after failing to muster enough votes to pass a $51 billion deficit reduction bill in the House, even after dropping a controversial oil exploration provision, Republicans moved to elect a New Hampshire lawmaker to the newly-created post of House Majority Minority Leader.

Action scenes from
the movie Transformers II are going to be shot right outside of my husband's squadron building in September. Cooler still....he's in charge of all the air-related scenes, and will be working on the set! Damn, I really wish Hugh Jackman or Denzel Washington were going to be in this movie. I'd be visiting my husband at work every hour of every day!...

Since we have so many
pet lovers in the forum, I thought it would be a good idea to ask you all what sort of dog you would recommend. We just lost our second hamster. "Fluffy" jumped to his death the night before last off our balcony (landing on the wooden floor below). My youngest forgot to latch the cage and he escaped. The first hamster suffocated on his own bedding. I'm ready for a pet with a...
