I have some medical conditions, some hereditary (scoliosis, depression/anxiety, pcos) and some not (PIC). I don't think it's fair at all to say that only people in perfect health should be allowed to procreate. I would say I can't believe anyone voted for number one, but sadly I can. After all, was this not the type of society that Nazi Germany was attempting to create by encouraging the breeding of "perfect Aryan...

But you made an informed decision. There are varying levels and while chances of your baby having it were higher, it wasn't a given. This is a condition that sometimes happens randomly and there isn't a specific gene tied to it. Conditions that to ME would...

It honestly depends on the disease. And I cant come up with a good one right now that I know the person would still have the mental and physical capabilities to reproduce. And if they did carry a disease like CF, or other such genetic diseases I would hope they would do genetic testing on both sides to determine the risk ahead of time.

I think it's all a crap shoot. Having said that, for many (most? all even? I am no expert) genetic diseases you have to have two carriers, and the odds of that are somewhat low for a lot of things. Dare I ask if you were asking this about a specific person/instance/disease? If so, I'd be curious about the disease in question. I mean, we can pass EVERYTHING to our kids. OCD, depression, ...

The roads can be icy even if theres only a little bit of snow. What happens is if the snow doesnt melt and dry up quick enough, that lingering water, or watered down snow will freeze at night and turn to ice. The BIGGEST thing to remember, is no hard quick turns, and do not try to stop on a dime . If your car has anti lock breaks youll feel them pulsate when your breaking and slipping. If ...
