Steve A, RE: Convoy The song actually can serve as a good clinic to illustrate CB jargon. I don't have a TW HoF ballot from you yet. If you plan to vote, there are about 6 hours left.

RE: "I just purchased Fear of a Blank Planet and am eagerly awaiting to get it" Probably not a bad choice, knowing your tastes, though I don't own it yet But the two preceding albums show a definite progression towards a heavier and more modern sound While the older ones I have are trippier and more Pink Floyd like In fact, The Sky Moves Sideways reminds me very much of Wish You Were Here

Definitely Anderson/Squire/Howe/Wakeman/Bruford and White. Tony Kaye also. Many would want Rabin in there because of how major he was to the group in the 80s. But as I cannot stand their 80s output, I say no. While I admire Banks' position as an original member, I say no because the group really did not come alive until Banks left and Howe joined. Howe for me really gelled Yes into Yes...

I was 5 or 6 yrs old when I first heard Ricky Nelson on the Ozzie and Harriet show. I was quite smitten with "It's Late". Up until then it was all Mitch Miller and various barbershop quartet stuff that my parents were always playing. This was something new and exciting. It led to Elvis Presley's "Return To Sender", which I first heard at my cousin's house around the time I was 8. Then of ...

Bootlegs have existed as long as there has been music and tape recorders. I have some bootlegs and the quality varies. It all depends on how it was recorded. If it was done by some guy who smuggled a tape recorder in his coat then you can be pretty sure it will sound like crap. If you can get a hold of a boot that has been recorded directly from the soundboard at a concert, you would be ...

From what I understand, an orchestra version of Ticket to Ride can be heard on the right side as the album fades. Not sure if this was done on purpose or as you noted, this was an Abbey Road recording so perhaps a mistake was made.

Bob Dylan--Tell Tale Signs. I'm obsessing right now. Hardly ever happens but when it does, it's great! I probably won't be listening to anything else until around Thursday, if then.

It's a good one, but it's obviously hard to say the best ever. We all have our favorites. Revolution - the Beatles Mistreated - Deep Purple Rock Steady - Bad Company School's Out - Alice Cooper These are some of my favorites that come to mind right away. I will probably come up with more. I am sure there's a Black Sabbath song or two which I could at to the list.
