F.Cowart-- I remember that one! The movie title has an asterisk * in front of it and none of the words are capitalized. This 1987 fantasy sci-fier stars long-time husband and wife Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn.

mhn92: I think sard was referring to a fairly well known Jodie Foster film entitled FREAKY FRIDAY which I have not seen but sort of remember being around. I finally looked FREAKY FRIDAY up and then checked Boris's resume and no mention of FREAKY FRIDAY with Boris in it. DUH. I just reread sard's post, he put us on. Nice going and Trick 'er Treat, Baron! That evil grin of yours was well earned tonight. :^] Tom

Big Bopper #2: Usually Harry Morgan is confused with acerbic wit Henry Morgan, not classic era character actor Frank Morgan. Maybe you should hold on to that box, Bopper, someday it may become a priceless collectable.

I love the James Whale directed Universal films, especially Old Dark House "Have a Potato" The Val Lewton thrillers are also excellent The Body Snatcher, I Walked With a Zombie. There was a good set of those movies released a few years ago. Just about anything with Lon Chaney Sr. is sure to be interesting. The guy could be mesmerizing. When I was a kid, all day at school on Friday my...

Martin Scorcesse as the back seat pervert window peeker in Travis Bickel's (DeNiro) cab. That was one creepy peformance in "Taxi Driver". Francis Ford Coppola as a director in "Appocalypse Now".

This is a great idea. Thanks guys! May I suggest a film for next week's discussion? Alfred Hitchcock's NORTH BY NORTHWEST (1959). . Also, since I can't be here this afternoon, I'd like to repost my review of today's movie: . SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1952) is a pure delight! All of its songs were composed by that prolific team of Arthur Freed and Nacio Brown, and not just the few sung ...

"Rope" is a favorite noir movie of mine that is in color. Are you taking into account neo noir or post classic noir? If so then "Sin City", even though it is mostly B&W it does have some coloring..it is very unique regarding the coloring. Also "A History of Violence" is a good noir film in color. Noir is about more than color...its about the story..about moral ambiguity, its also about...
