I'm also assuming that Saribet speaks with a Bronx accent. Which I consider dignified. --Jim

Jim-have read several of your posts...I am working on doing just that..but had heard a lot of those things and rather than let it fester I figured just let it go...I had a business once-retail-for 13 years...this was what I called the silly season-demanding people etc...My way to counteract the inane and insane then was to wear a Black and white Santa Hat that said BAH HUMBUG from the dy after thanksgiving until Christmas Eve Day..then my...

Hi Serendipity, Enjoy your tree. I don't have a tree but I do put up a few ornaments on the windows. Stuck on with those plastic suction cups. And yes, each one has a precious mmory. And those are important. Enjoy the season!

Saribet, have you seen the movie? I have heard such mixed reviews. Have you picked a paint? Hubby and I are remodeling our downstairs bathroom, and he wants light paint, I want dark. I guess we try medium.

This years Christmas Tree.... My heart is really not into the season this year, but my daughter talked me into it and we went down to the local lot and bought a silver tip. A splurge for us. It's a beautiful tree. It sat for a few days on the porch before we brought it into the house. I said that if only having a green undecorated tree in the house was all that happened this year, it was good enough for me. It sat in the house for a few...

Thank you for your musing. The Twilght Zone is my favortie euphemism, so far. I was so glad to see your posting today, and more glad to know you could get away for a while. You are probably taking calcium plus vitamin D; if not, the doctors are saying 800-1000 mg. vitamin D does more than make the calcium absorption successful. Had a ob-gyn who didn't tell me about the D; said take Tums. ...

I don't know that this program aired other than locally on WVIA, but it is definitely worth going to their web site to see if it's there. I eagerly awaited that Sunday airing. It was on tape and half way through the tape hung up, and stayed hug up for the next hour!. Then with no explanation they resumed programing. WVIA serves northeastern PA

perhaps it is the time of year, or it has been one of those weeks or something. Perhaps I have just held back too long and need to let go of some stuff. But.. there are a few things that people need to not say cos they don't help. Not really. At least in my opinion. 1: Don't say you are going to visit, set up a date and then cancel the week before, saying you know I understand..frankly I don't...

You still know how to get the most out of mom. Your brother doesn't. That's his loss. And your gain. Meanwhile, feel remorse for your brother. That he's missing so much. He probably has an inner emptiness. You've been blessed with an inner joy. A fulfillment. He has not been blessed. That's his misfortune. Not yours. --Jim

Just when we think we have grieved all the changes, another comes into our lives. So many losses to count. If your mom was her "old self", she might be telling you to take care of your health. I think she might be proud of you for doing it. And you are still taking care of her in the way she needs... with love and attention to meeting those needs. I'll be praying for you and your mom. Namaste.
