Swollen itchy skin

Hi, How are you? Your symptoms may be caused by an infection. This could be bacterial, fungal or even parasitic in nature. Definite diagnosis is with direct clinical examination and sample of the lesions. Try not to scratch to prevent secondary bacterial infection. Over-the-counter antihistamine medication may help provide relief. If it persists, have this evaluated further for proper management. Take care and best regards.

ANA can be negative and you still have an autoimmune disease. It sounds to me as if it might be Lupus or MS.   Have her go to a Rheumatologist to have the rest of the autoimmune test done, their are more test that are sensitive to detect it.

daily debilitating headaches
Published (2009-12-22 09:30:00)
Forgot to mention in first post, I have been noticing that occasionally things will sound as though I am wearing headphones, very muted.  It will last maybe 20 seconds followed by a ringing which then disappears shortly after.  Happens more so when my headaches are the worst.

I have a very rare immune disease called CVID or common variable immune deficiency that went undiagnosed for 21 years, despite repeated blood tests to look for immune problems - this is very common for this disease.  CVID is very rare, only about 200,000 people have it and so most docs don't know what to look for.  It is very common for CVID to manifest after a severe mono infection, in fact there is a...

sweaty feet after ankle injury
Published (2009-12-29 04:22:00)
what's real weird about this is... at times there is no sweat at all. and it isnt really visible either. It does seem to depend on the position of my foot. It's really weird. However I have been under extreme stress the last few months so an emotional thing could be possible. If this is the cause it should go away on it's own when stress alleviates?

My mother got sarcoid when she was living in Western Washington.  She was put on prednisone for years and it really caused her a lot of side effects. She was on that for 15 years. Then she moved from Western WA down to Utah where she lived for 8 years.  After she moved to Utah the sarcoid went into remission and she was able to get off the prednisone. I spoke to Dr. David Buscher, MD in Bellevue,WA who is a...

Hi, How are you? It is good that your tests and x-ray were fine. Hemoptysis or bloody sputum can be due to infection in the lungs and airways, such as acute bronchitis or pneumonia.
